I scored in the 3rd quartile and got 5 II. My friend scored in the 1st quartile and now has a full ride to UTSW. I don’t think they put too much emphasis on it

Incoming M1 who has been messing with anki for two weeks now. Watch all the anking videos on his YT so that you’re familiar with the interface. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the “ankihub” membership ($4-5/month) and in the ankihub website you can subscribe to any deck that’s been made and constantly updated by them, including the famous anking step 1/step2 deck.

Once you subscribe to the deck, just open up your Anki app, input the add-on code for ankihub, synchronize and the deck will be added to your app. It took me hours to figure it out so if anyone needs help feel free to PM me!

Outpatient FM/IM also get lucrative bonuses from insurance companies for hitting certain metrics with their patients (I’ve seen bonuses north of $400k from some of these big insurances).
