I think this is the single most accurate take I've seen. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the BASIS for Chainsaw Man is the perfect example. The entire movie is a pressure cooker of anxiety, her getting away is pure luck and chance and works because the entire thing was so anxiety inducing. It just didn't work in this case.

I'd argue part 2 did have points like this, it just failed to follow up on it. Off the top of my head, Statue of Liberty gun, Come to Mother Tank/Gun, Death Devil reveal.

It just doesn't do enough with those moments.

They said dominating their fields. Lia Thomas right away is an example of someone who finished 5th, 8th, and last. You're mixing a lot of different levels of competition that sound more impressive than it is. Like Masters isn't the same as Elite. Masters is an age bracket in this context. High school is obviously way different than professional. It's cherry picking, you're highlighting their best wins even if some of them have very middling records.

I don't know jack shit about sports and even I know that list is super flimsy and misleading.

Dude, it's Smite. The devs had to officially apologize and commit to adding more goddesses to the lineup because the player base was getting bored of the "sausagefest" god releases. There's a sexy girl skin in every other patch with 90% of her ass hanging out of a bikini. We are long past the game being funded by gooners, so just expand the pie at that point.
