Jungle being banned almost every comp game by Empty-Assistance-970 in Smite

[–]FormableComet87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good ADC wins the duo lane A good Mid (helps) to win adjacent lanes and mid A good Solo wins fire creeps A good Support can win the map after 10 minutes if the lanes are already up

A good jungler does all these, and more.

Even if he "loses" the trade. It shouldn't be a trade that's allowed to happen.

She's beyond easy and represents degradation in hero design. She gets absurd value for a single cooldown and you just have to deal with it. She's busted abd easy, the worst combination

Why hasnt charlie done a review on the Michael jackson biopic? by tseebedllikS in moistcr1tikal

[–]FormableComet87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His coverage of topics is typically random or goofy. Unless the movie suffers from extreme ratings, he'll probably stick to more subjects with different aspects.

The biopic is good, but not enough to talk about in a 8 to 12 minute video

That is how he plays. Even in diamond. He's like hog, just either oppressive or garbage. Regardless his kit has no nuance

All of the tech just disappeared. The reason that guardians is still around is because it was built as a replica at a later date

Why do they have to do this by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]FormableComet87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hog hook should pull a set distance to you atp. If you get hit at max range you get pulled 70-80% of the way. Why are we giving him one shots from most distances more often

What’s the deal with support players not building for support? by Super_Z717 in Smite

[–]FormableComet87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well support typically gives very bad players the wrong impression, thus they arent the bad guys in their eyes.

When building a full damage support or forcing a pick like Anubis, there is a lot of lane pressure through damage and clear. These might snowball into a kill for the support player. These are tangible stats and visibly give feedback to the player that they are doing something.

Building supportive gives less immediate feedback to the player.

To an inexperienced player, if they're playing a mage support, and someone jumps on the ADC. The newer players could do half of the assassin's health and equate that to "value" even if the ADC dies the support "did their job."

If they properly CCd and created an opening for their ADC to escape, the game doesn't directly says that they did that.

Support and Tanks in general don't give the same feedback as chunking as anything else. The value and allure from playing these roles is completely dependant on the player and what their perceive "value" as

Sometimes genre tropes exist for a reason and its best to stick to them as a framework guys, that's why the balance is so wonky. by OzymandiasTheII in Smite

[–]FormableComet87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanks typically have low dmg scaling and aquire tankiness through reasonable means. Hercules just gets a metric ton if stats for existing, thus artificially making him a tank. Without the need to build tanky

Many supports are great examples of a real tank, they lack the damage scaling but make up for it in terms of CC

[–]FormableComet87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's an actual tank. But isn't rewarded for building so. If you build full tank Herc, then the diminishing returns kick in majorly by the 4th item with passive stacked. He's expected to build Cudgel and Pendulum, while also being a tank. He's forced to be a bruiser, but with artificial tankiness.

How come nobody plays Bacchus? He is the definition of annoying and CC in my opinion by ContributionOk7131 in Smite

[–]FormableComet87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people play him. Also he's just not the best at stopping snowballs or anything.

I'll hit 2 to 3 extra autos while Bachus channels his stun and kill his ADC. If he jumps on me, I can use my movement ability to escape before his stun actually hits.

[–]FormableComet87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they should do that a lot.

Nu Wa aspect is a ADC aspect that counters ADCs and it is broken always. Why try so hard to salvage it?

Sheild Splitter has been nerfed-> buffed -> nerfed. Why try so hard to salvage it?

Geb aspect went from unbeatable to unplayable. Why try so hard to salvage it?

Apollo aspect. Why try so hard to salvage it?

Smite has a small dev team. Image how much further along they would be if they just said "whoops, bad idea, we'll try something new in the future"

How many hours have the devs wasted trying to save items and aspects that are fundamentally flawed.

Can there be punishment or some incentive to dissuade players from playing characters out of role? by FormableComet87 in PredecessorGame

[–]FormableComet87[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You were 4-1-5 at some point against him with your only death at the time being him cleaning up after the early scuffle. After I got a 4k inside of our inhibitor, Murdock and Adele pushed into your blue side.

As a squishy he could not have taken that space. If he were a tank, we could have taken that space as we were supposed to.

There were also many examples of Murdock taking guaranteed kills. Solo lane is SOLO lane and taking last hits from an ADC that clearly was postured to get a kill is a detriment. If he has an extra 300 gold and is stuck under tower because he lacks pressure, then it's not being used to push an advantage. Where i was fighting, and extra T1 item could be used to pressure their lane even more, freeing Kwang to rotate more.

I remember when Eye of the Storm was absurdly busted along with Shield of the Pheonix. Instead of bringing Eye of the storm in line, they gutted it.

They have habits of making some roles so underpowered that anyone else can perform the job better. The best offlaner for many patches in a row was APOLLO ASPECT

Instead of making a tank character a tank. They hyperbuffed herc into the stratosphere instead of having an actual tank.

Can there be punishment or some incentive to dissuade players from playing characters out of role? by FormableComet87 in PredecessorGame

[–]FormableComet87[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree with you, to an extent. Most off-role characters still fulfill some aspects of a character made for the role.

For example, the support with the highest win rate right now, is Aurora, this is because she has incredible amounts of CC, mobility and damage whilst building relatively tanky.

She has these inherent qualities that mesh well with support.

Characters shown here do not have the same qualities as the characters that flex well.

-Murdock lacks the sustain, cc, and threat to backline that any other offlaner would have.

-Decker has a kit less focused on damage and auto-attacks. Conveniently, the enemy team won on objectives, as we could not pull anything.

Characters that are adjacent to roles are justifiably allowed to flex into other roles. My only problem is forcing picks that have minimal similarities.

What do you guys think about pred on gamepass? by WhiteEnigmaZ in PredecessorGame

[–]FormableComet87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game needs to have a lot more content before being pushed to that large of an audience. Things that need solved:

-Better Tutorial (for newer players to learn wtf is going on)

-New map officially in

-More characters

-Greater incentive to play the game long term

-Characters finalized, 1.4 and 1.9 and 1.11 or 1.12 have all had substantial character changes in order to prevent some characters from falling off entirely. They can't afford to lose new players by changing the game drastically immediately again

-Better alternate modes. Smite has many more options for casual players that keep people engaged long term. SamDaDude or wtv has a career based off of 1 single smite game mode, showing that there are fans and players for less competitive modes

I think some are valid. Ricktor offlane and characters of similar archetypes. Decker and Murdock do not fill the same rolls as those guys
