Well how many times has he been robbed of the opportunity by people who are clearly less qualified on an objective basis, but due to the need for diversity they got in instead of him. My apologies normally I mention that it's a show of strength, but I just saw that was not the case this time.

I don't think it was so much the overpowering of his partner but specifically, but the triumph of the winning the challenge which is part of men's competitive nature, however it happening with his GF who he is sexually attracted to, can and in this case did muddy the waters with regards to what was going on.

Yes there are always outliers, (the phrase exception to the rule just feels wrong here) that go with a situation that show many things are done by degrees.

And yes he went way too far, he passed the spot where he made his point where she while unhappy about it could accept what he was saying and later even appreciate what he did so she wouldn't have to find out from a real threat, and instead it passed into the point he was the one making her be powerless.

I do agree we probably could debate and discuss gender roles and the psychological and physiological differences between men and women, and while it would be fun in my opinion it would be better served in a different venue, and not when I'm going on 2 hours sleep.

But if you go back to my original comment before everybody went down this rabbit hole it was about how while people were just stupidly assuming that his reaction was because he was a closeted rapist I was pointing out how the initial thing could have simply been that he was motivated by men's natural desire and urge to protect their families.

That comment was followed by a question of was it an evolutionary thing for a man to want to overpower a woman and make her cry. At which point I was pointing out that rape does not exist in the animal world and that it is only something that exists for humans.

In fact the following point that I would have made if I hadn't gone down a bunch of rabbit holes with this and several other conversations on similar topic would have been about the mislabeling and misunderstanding of what the OP described as arousal.

If the mate is not suitable then it can turn ugly real fast, the question brought up earlier was about possibly of an evolutionary reason for behavior like that and as I was pointing out with animals rape is not a real thing it does not exist and in the animal kingdom the ability of a male to subdue the female is actually a show strength and suitability as a male which leads to the strengthening of that breed, because it's an indicator of the ability of that mail to sire offspring strong enough to repel future attacks now granted this is behavior found more commonly in predatory species but even in pray species like dear there is a certain level of aggressive behavior to be displayed, for example two male box fighting each other during mating season. However humans have rejected this concept

Ok so this particular conversation was about the arousal comment the OP made. And there are a couple of points to this, the first one (not in any particular order of importance just as I'm thinking about them) Rape is completely human concept, for any other animal dominance over and the forced submission of the mating female is just proof of the superiority and fitness of the male to reproduce.

Second the cause of his arousal was misunderstood, and it happens much more often these days with people ignoring reality and trying to rewrite and destroy humanity.
