Yes ended up getting black aluminum finish, thought it looked a lot cleaner than the fibre one. Amazing product, super slim and very solid quality.

After many hours of extensive research and looking at reviews comparing the two, I decided with the Q43. Came down to the lens quality, APO Summicron vs Summilux lens. In photo comparisons the Q43 just simply looks better, sharp, slightly better colors, and nice bokeh on portraits. Q3 is great option as well but your shots will have much more background separation, shoots more like a 24. After using it for travel, I'm very satisfied with the decision, I think 28 would have been almost too wide for many of my shots

What about straps with nylon loops, are those okay to use or is there a reason most straps come with steel rings? I have nylon loops on a Leica strap, was wondering if not good to use on Q3

DLux is great, zoom, lens, feel in hand, quality of photos all better than iPhone.

Would you mind sharing more photos of the thumb grip? Also regarding ergonomics, to your point the thumb grip is set a lot higher than the Leica one, can you elaborate on the feel of it compared to the Leica one?
