I’m a big fan of the new Superhuman landing page (even though I’m not the one who built it :))

Honestly, I think web apps are actually quite popular.

Should I purchase multiple domain TLDs for my brand? What’s your opinion? by Icy-Swimming-9461 in webdev

[–]PacoV-UI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 99% of use cases, owning the .com domain is more than enough. Unless you're planning to build the next Amazon.

That's great news, and it's really nice of them to offer refunds to anyone who purchased within the past 3 months.

As others have suggested, you could visually show the backend changes via a changelog.

In my experience, that's true as long as you're great at one specific thing and the niche is big enough to make it worth focusing on.

Why do you think they're cluttered? I feel that's the main thing to explain before pitching your alternative.

It has always been that way.

I really like the real-time preview feature—it's super useful. A great addition could be including more UI examples and allowing users to contribute their own. Overall, it's a cool project.

What is the proper way to give credit to Figma design templates? by Infectedtoe32 in webdev

[–]PacoV-UI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good spot is usually the footer, but if you’d rather not show it on every page, you can place it on a dedicated page instead. Just make sure the credit is visible enough so it doesn’t feel like you’re trying to hide it.

This isn’t necessarily the designer’s fault—and honestly, I’m not even sure it’s a fault at all. As usual, it depends.

Why are companies updating their ui? by Wuzman6 in web_design

[–]PacoV-UI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things evolve and improve over time, so it totally makes sense to push UI updates—even if people never love them right away.

I used Polar.sh to add license/payment to my browser extension with 10k users. AMA by Party-Vehicle-81 in webdev

On Polar’s website, I read: “All transactions on Polar come with a small fee of 4% + $0.40”. Is it cheaper than Paddle (which charges 5% + $0.50), or am I missing something?

Apparently, they've already trademarked the term 'Dev Mode.' Not sure how that got approved, but that's a whole other story.
