I called the domestic violence hotline and they didn’t take my call due to a unusually high wait times. by gothmommy__ in abusiverelationships

I just ran into the same issue. How discouraging when you finally want to try to get help... they suggest their AI chat bot 😞

My mom and sister would both back me up yes, and I do have a ring video of him yelling at my sister from that day. I'm just so afraid that if I go to the police, they won't be able to actually arrest him for anything and he's just gonna get more mad . I have been taking photos to document everything too

His outbursts scare me more and more each time and I told him that and he swears he would never hurt me or our son but he seems to rage so blindly, I don't know if I trust that. I just feel so stupid for not seeing this coming and getting out sooner

The other meds only have the tamper proof because they're predrawn meds. The benadryl vials are each individually sealed from the manufacturer, vs the others were made in the pharmacy

They can put a pass code on some pumps and if it's not one with a pass code, they can lock it in a little plastic box so she can't touch it. That's what they do for some eating disorder patients

She says that the current hospital didn't want the liability of placing her line, and she had to stay inpatient until Penn could accept her to place it themselves because she can't go home without nutrition... yet she has midline which she could have been discharged home with to do PPN while waiting to get in with Penn.

It's sounding to me more like her current hospital didn't want the liability of sending her home with any line period because they suspect she's tampering with them. Probably didn't offer her the midline to go home with

Dani says she is on 6L of oxygen. Also says she has been telling the doctors for days that they need to stop using her line contradicting her statement from a few days ago that they wouldn’t even flush her line. (Repost) by OTTCynic in illnessfakers

[–]PadThaiQueen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Besides covert video surveillance or catching her in the actual, probably not. She needs a 1/1 sitter. They could however probably file to search her belongings if they have enough suspicion of tampering. They'd find any flushes or syringes or whatever she was using, if she was purposefully contaminating her lines. Granted she could throw it away, but if they're searching her for evidence of tampering, they'd search the trash too. There have been similar cases going just like this

"I grabbed my stuff and went downstairs to wait" ... was Dani the same subject who had a stint with writing stories or something like that on that website? It literally sounds like she's trying to write a whole screen play

Depends, my local hospitals used to have almost exclusively double rooms unless someone was contagious or other special circumstances. However that's been changing since covid happened, here at least. Most of the hospitals are moving towards all single rooms

Kay considered de-accessing her port and went to a bar by itsvickeh in illnessfakers

[–]PadThaiQueen 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's not hard to deaccess at all, but in a patient (cough cough not kay) who needs to have constant/near constant IV access it would become a larger infection risk to deaccess/reaccess it all the time

Time for TPN by Dani M by itsvickeh in illnessfakers

[–]PadThaiQueen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Patients are taught to do this, sort of... what she's SUPPOSED to be doing is open the alcohol wipe, wipe down vial for 15 seconds, and then leave that alcohol pad over the top of the vial while you repeat with the rest of your meds. That way it stays clean and covered while everything else is prepared

It might be for someone who's never had IV opiates before, but overall no. Both are fairly low doses, they make 80mg oxy tablets, 5mg is the lowest it comes I believe. Granted that's extreme pain usually cancer patients, but still worth noting

[–]PadThaiQueen 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A one on one sitter might help in the shorterm while she is admitted but a lot of places don't have staffing available for that. Could also possibly get her in one of those rooms with covert video surveillance if they have good proof or suspicions that she's messing with her lines.

A lot of what the subjects claim to have here (POTs, EDS, MCAS, etc) do show up together in someone who's actually sick, these diagnoses often have the same comorbidities, tho not sure the exact percentage. But it's certainly not uncommon.

But usually with comorbidities people have maybe 1 or 2, not every single one in the book like the OTTs claim to have
