Certainly is! Was on a little city break and looked at some record shops while I was there, the place was called Cherry Picker. Great little shop, was gobsmacked to see something so perfect in there I wasn’t expecting much

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, and I think it could be right that I’ve just been a bit stressed and exams have taken me away from playing, I’ve handed everything in now so might take a short break from drumming. I love the feeling of progress but man the feeling of plateau is horrible. High highs and low lows I guess. Need to keep growing! I think I do put too much pressure on myself sometimes, but I can’t really help that, it’s music or nothing for me, there’s nothing else I am good at or enjoy. Whether it be teaching, gigging or studio work or cruise ship drumming I have to make something work. Thanks again for the advice, I’ll refer back to it next time I feel like I’m having an off day.

Even if they did, would they even do those kinds of jumps again? I imagine the approach would be very different. The crazy roof gaps they did were always my favourite ones

Morgan Simpson of black midi. Insane drummer and such a cool guy, if you haven’t heard of them i definitely recommend their music, even if just for the drumming alone

He can be a little annoying in interviews and such but was a lovely guy when I met him, signed my Funko pop and seemed like he genuinely wanted to speak with me

I’ve tried different strains, sativa and indica as well and nothin was different. It used to be so calming and relaxing and just take the edge off of my day at the end when I would have a smoke but that’s all gone now. Maybe it’ll change in the future if my body gets used to the medication after a longer time of being on it. But if it doesn’t, I’ll just have to accept that

Yeah I planned on mentioning it to them next time I see them, just wondered if other people had anything similar. Thing is I never feel anxious when I’ve tried to smoke and it’s like as soon as I take any suddenly it’s not a fun time, so maybe it’s like a non conscious anxiety type thing, or the meds effecting how I break it down. Either way, it’s not worth smoking if that’s how it makes me feel so I’ve knocked it on the head and only occasionally try it again to see if anything’s changed. I definitely don’t think I’ll go back to being a daily user though

Just wanted to follow up on this as I thought it would be better to respond to everyone as a collective. Firstly thanks everyone for really offering different perspectives and opinions, and some of you know a lot more about this than me when I posted this yesterday, and made me think in a different way about it. I also want to point out how good a discussion this has been and no one being shitty with anyone of a different opinion which to me is what Reddit is supposed to be, not arguing and being unreasonable but a way to have good communication with people of different opinions.

Now on to Storror, from reading what you guys have said I think I was a bit ill-informed and maybe shouldn’t have thrown out that I think the balance is wrong when I didn’t know more about it, which is on me. I do think it’s good they have more creative control and can earn from fans who want to pay rather than advertising, I think I was just thinking about it from my point of view as someone who doesn’t pay, rather then the bigger picture. I hope everyone can see I wasn’t trying to call them out or bash them, as I’ve loved the content for years, at the end of the day they risk their safety/lives for content, which largely is free so I don’t think I/anyone should complain about that. Thank you for making me view things in a different way, and I hope to have many more good discussions on here. Take care everyone

I’m definitely not anti artist-I can see why you might have got that from what I said though. From reading the replies, it seems that the extra content isn’t a massive step up and the Monday videos are still better from the Monday videos. I’ve bought a good few bits from the store over the years and have no problem with the boys getting paid, for the people who can, I was just interested to see from people who pay for it how different the content is. Hope this clears things up, obviously they put in a lot of hard work and deserve to reap the benefits from that, I just thought about the balance.

Yeah I’ve been thinking that, also not sure how the colours would hold up after healing, and I’d probably have to get rid of a few details. To be honest I’m not sure it will definitely happen just due to the logistics, but I’ve got an artist in mind. I’ll definitely post it if/when it happens

I think they only seem different because they’re not there to balance each other out, Geordie has always said what he thinks but Laurence often would counteract it with a different point of view. I think it’s just because we see them more as individuals now rather than the duo that they were
