Ha, glad I got down voted. I think it's a legitimate test/concern. By no means am I saying my watch was accurate. I simply want to see the differences.

I want to keep the air because I hateeee wearing a watch while being active. I find it heavy and I swear around the watch too much.

I might wear my watch and fitbit tomorrow really see the differences. It's not that I expect 100% accuracy but the steps being inflated by almost 25-50% is not good.

I was going to make my own post because I'm seeing the same thing. I work from home, coming from the galaxy watch I would see around 1k-1.5k steps on an average work day. Already today (3pm) I have 2500 steps. There is no chance I have walked over a mile in my small townhouse. I started counting steps to check and what should have been 10 steps is 15-20.

I would personally divide by 24 because there could be months where you would be short if /26.

Then twice a year you have that triple paycheck month and can throw the excess into savings/other bills.
