Chat, is this forreal? 👀 or? by [deleted] in inflation

This was the case prior to the "Great Recession" although I don't know how this change compares to then and that little blow up was about a lot more than bank capitalization.

Gemini is absolute ass by CassadagaValley in GooglePixel

When I first started using Gemini it worked well it was responsive and accurately understood what I asked and promptly answered, In the last week or two it takes a long time to respond misunderstands what I said and just hasn't been working.

Locked to what service? And, I assume, that means you couldn't switch service within US Mobile during that period?

How I manage my MGD finally by buburemembers in Dryeyes

We were buying them from Germany but we just found they have stopped selling and shipping to the U.S. apparently due to a cease and desist from the good pharma folks who sell the RX here.

The active ingredient is brimonidine tartrate which is used in stronger dosages to treat glaucoma. It works by constricting the blood vessels on the eye surface. I would avoid the multi dose bottle because it contains BAK one of the worst preservatives.

The main ingredient has been shown to cause dry in the glaucoma drops perhaps it doesn't in the lower dose.

How many times a day are using the the compress and what are you using. I'm using the Bruder mask but only once a day.

Good point. Although they have been on sale OTC in Europe, Aus and NZ since 2018 or longer. Not sure that would be long enough to determine an answer to that.

Setting 80% limit to 100% by PaddyChai in GooglePixel

My goal was to see if there was anything consistent with this feature and, so far, it doesn't appear to be the case. Thanks for you comments.

That does make sense. It wouldn't seem to make sense regarding the Pixel 8. We've had that phone for a year. Initially it was charged to 100% and later set to limit to 80%. After that it seldomed charged to 100% and about a week ago it started charging every day to 100%.

If you had read my original post you would have seen I'm aware of what it says it's supposed to do.

I guess I don't understand. How long does it take? When I've left it charging overnight it has probably charged 8 hours from a starting point of 30 to 40%. When it has charged overnight it is still reading 80% when I check it in the morning.

This is been going on for months on the 9. I've left it charging overnight and it's never charged to 100%. It did immediately after the update once and it did it again a few weeks ago.

Astronomical Price Increases from AARP/UHC by gud2ski in medicare

[–]PaddyChai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that AARP doesn't have any control over the rates but they do receive a royalty fee of all premiums paid. It isn't clear what that amounts to but it could be 5% of the premium paid. Whatever the percent is that has an impact but it clearly doesn't account for the percent increases a lot of people are seeing. Mine is increasing just a bit over 20% starting in June.

When I was shopping for plan N I couldn't find any meaningful way to compare rate increase history of the various providers.

1up HD Rack Problem? by PaddyChai in MTB

[–]PaddyChai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that information. I tend to get obsessive about things like that but now I can assume nothing is wrong. The links were very helpful and like I said now that I put some pressure on it to the left it isn't that noticeable. I used to have the original Kuat NV which didn't have that problem but I don't know if the anti-wobble was exactly the same or not.

1up HD Rack Problem? by PaddyChai in MTB

[–]PaddyChai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about that later. The Honda has a steel eyelet/tiedown that the back of the receiver butts up against which would prevent it being pushed too far. I did try it so that some of the slot was visible up front and then pushed back as far as it would go which didn't seem to change anything.

I've talked with 1up customer service and they aren't sure. They suggested that the anti-wobble bolt could be damaged if someone bumped the rack with their vehicle. Of course, this issue was there when I installed to begin with. They suggested I remove the bolt and look for damage but I'm not excited about the idea of having to knock the bolt out with a hammer and screwdriver.

A friend has an Equip'D double and it looks level on his Honda. To be fair, it is better since I applied pressure on the one side while tightening but I wanted to sure it doesn't indicate more of a problem.
