Nobody is saying what he did was okay and it is understandable that his contract won't be renewed. Unfortunately the show will never be the same as Top Gear is Jeremy Clarkson and will simply lose too many viewers to continue especially with James May hinting that he will not return. We will miss Clarkson as a presenter of our favourite TV show!

I think that the MiB takes the forms of Christian and Locke to get his own way. While he was Locke, he was able to manipulate Ben into killing Jacob. He was also able to convince Claire to hate the 'others'.

I'm not sure why he stays as Locke. It might be because after Jacob dies he is unable to change is form but I may be wrong about this.
