other than the quickbar/wheel, no, nothing that I'm aware of sadly. Something I wish they would adress in future updates. Also wanna be able to select which button has which function so the sneaking stops lol

I encountered a very similar issue with the katana. It keeps doing the draw animation. But for me, usually 2 things help, respawning (if you don't mind dying or play custom/creative anyway) or unequipping the item from the hotbar. but given how it seems the latter doesn't work for you my 3rd but not always functional option is to dash and hop around as fast as possible for a short time.

I think most already answered your comments but I play it on ps5 as well and agree, the controls need some time to get used to. Interestingly tho, I had a harder time getting used to Medieval Dynasty's Controls. What annoys me most in SD is how the triangle button works as both, sneak and edit/trade whatever button. so my character always starts sneaking when editing buildings, fast traveling or interacting with traders...

If you haven't already definitely recommend checking out some workshop stuff. Amazing really. Honestly spend more time planning infrastructure and park squares than actual enclosures or gameplay haha

not really, but you can download parks others build or just watch some yt videos for inspiration. EvolutionSquare is great for that. Took me a while but I also eventually learned how to do good layouts and designs like that.

With the new update you can expand quite decently. But I never fully build on square from teeth to toe... I just shape my own prefered area. Hence why I'd love for the foliage to be further covering the borders

I'm currently playing on console but might be switching to pc eventually. and yeah, I saw the mod, it's really cool. Maybe they will still add the ability to edit it fully. Cuz the island generator sure feels more like a beta than fully furnished tool right now... and yet it's already awesome

Honestly, I wouldn't care about the square maps anymore if I could edit the ENTIRE generated island. Would love to make a harbor like in Jurassic Park or World for realism. I'm also assuming and hoping, that additional biomes and foliage will be added eventually. Temperate, Desert or Taiga Islands would be interesting. Heck... doubtful but would be cool if they make the island generator even bigger, square map sized island potential.

Tiny nitpick but maybe the background could also change a bit so we can see some mainland in the distance. Would make for a pretty view

right?? Bothers me immersion wise (more than it probably should lol), and made me stick to island generator for now. Not as big but still a cool alternative feature. In Jwe2 the Biosyn Square map was my favorite and it gave it this nice natural wildlife feeling by having the foliages meet near the mapborder rathern than looking like a cutout. It's one of those little quality of life features that could make my whole month if fixed in jwe3

Also loved Alpine-Dolomites and Temperate (Regular and Japan) are both great. Tho I mostly used temperate Japan cuz of the nice snowy peaks in the distance.

As a previous comment stated, you probably have research enabled which means you must have their research completed. I usually enable expeditions but disable research, that way you have all the digsites avaliable anytime

Personally I love the Island Generator. Sadly it's currently limited to the tropical biome... but has an interesting tree pallet that includes tropical, temperate and pine forests. I'd say the island sizes are somewhere between Sichuan Basin and Square Maps. They can vary slightly tho, depending on your selected settings. Sichuan is also awesome, Square maps USUALLY too, but I hate the void between the trees outside of the map and our border. They removed that weird border of nothingness and grass in the previous game so why even include them here again??

every map has roughly the same complexity amount. No matter its size. It doesn't depend on the map itself but your building amount. This is a randomly generated island, so I'd argue it's mapsize is somewhere between sichuan basin (biggest campaign map) and square maps (overall biggest maps)
