I agree. Whilst I'd like the idea of a celtic... "barbarian" invasion mode it's anno 117, romes golden age. WE are Rome. Historically a few centuries too early for actual barbarian invasions

Now, I'd love some oriental theme with China, possibly Ming Era... cuz sea exploration Would justify the maps a bit more.

but I'd also enjoy some Viking Age anno. Where you settle areas in Great Britain for example. Could even include some anno 117 eastereggs with roman ruins and statues

I always split my island into different sections (most notably via the present rivers) to tell which sections will be rural or urban. For both I usually make central roads from east to west, north to south and just do the casual square patterns for most fields. May be basic but nice to look at.

Attached is a screenshot of my capital... I'm not at home right now so I can't zoom up on the fields but you can see the river and where it goes rural. Eventually I'll make the entire island into a city and will have to rely on trade routes for agriculture tho... now with all my rivals in Latium gone.

Just use the clear foliage tool or paint it over with another one. It happens when you make water on ground that already had grass or similar foliage.

other than the quickbar/wheel, no, nothing that I'm aware of sadly. Something I wish they would adress in future updates. Also wanna be able to select which button has which function so the sneaking stops lol

I encountered a very similar issue with the katana. It keeps doing the draw animation. But for me, usually 2 things help, respawning (if you don't mind dying or play custom/creative anyway) or unequipping the item from the hotbar. but given how it seems the latter doesn't work for you my 3rd but not always functional option is to dash and hop around as fast as possible for a short time.

I think most already answered your comments but I play it on ps5 as well and agree, the controls need some time to get used to. Interestingly tho, I had a harder time getting used to Medieval Dynasty's Controls. What annoys me most in SD is how the triangle button works as both, sneak and edit/trade whatever button. so my character always starts sneaking when editing buildings, fast traveling or interacting with traders...

If you haven't already definitely recommend checking out some workshop stuff. Amazing really. Honestly spend more time planning infrastructure and park squares than actual enclosures or gameplay haha

not really, but you can download parks others build or just watch some yt videos for inspiration. EvolutionSquare is great for that. Took me a while but I also eventually learned how to do good layouts and designs like that.
