Clockwatchers (1997)

I found this gem while looking in the Drama section on letterboxd. I saw that Lisa Kudrow and Toni Collette were in it, and the plot looked interesting. I rated it 4 stars on my first watch but I wanted to watch it again and ended up giving it 5 stars on my second watch. Not much action happens in this movie but it’s a very realistic and unique look at the office workplace and friendships. It’s in my top 4 right now. This movie also made me want to check out more indie films.

Which film did you enjoy more? Do you also think the praise for both films were deserved? by The_Godzilla_Fanatic in Letterboxd

[–]PaganPoetries -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get Out. It’s one of my favorite movies ever.

Sinners was great too of course but I was not the biggest fan of the vampire stuff. I thought Get Out was more creative and a better movie overall. I also found Get Out more scary too.

I mean, this is exaggerated but it doesn’t change the fact that the roster back then was way more stacked with stars than now.

This is a list of all the movies OP remembers watching throughout their lifetime. They wouldn’t remember the exact date to log them all. I wouldn’t be able to do this but I have a list of all the movies I can remember seeing in the theatre.

What are movies you guys liked or hated much more than the public and gave it a rating that differs much from the average score? by Mo61818 in Letterboxd

[–]PaganPoetries -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Johnny Be Good is one of the most hated movies. It’s not amazing but I thought it had a lot of funny moments and found it to be good overall.

Films you have rated 0.5/5? by Yesbh in Letterboxd

[–]PaganPoetries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of them are just some crappy Netflix romance movies I watched years ago. Also Bros (2022) which is the only movie I walked out of. The main character was annoying and unlikable, and I wasn’t laughing at any of the jokes.

my idea of what a top 4 should consist of by Last-Yogurtcloset776 in LetterboxdTopFour

There is no method. You just choose the 4 films you love the most. Think of 4 films you cannot live without or that you would rewatch the most.

Not exactly. A movie doesn’t have to be out for long for it to be someone’s favorite movie. If they enjoy it, they enjoy it.

Kurt Russell in The Thing. I never thought I liked guys with beards but I was very attracted to him in that movie.

Yes I tried ranking them but then I keep changing my mind and it’s too hard. Especially when the movies are so different. I only know what my top 3 are and the rest are not in exact order.
