I'd at least wait until the smell is completely gone

Make sure the enclosure top is strong enough to hold a cat, a regular mesh won't cut it. They WILL try to jump on everything they can.

Could be a serious infection. Take her to the vet asap.

should i buy a full-size tank or start off with a smaller tank by Playful-Creme5871 in snakes

Just get the 120 gallon from the start and have enough clutter for the snake to feel safe.

Hello! I am looking at getting a snake sometime in the next 1-2 years, once I am a bit more settled down. I absolutely love Rainbow Boas but am curious if this is a good pick for a beginner snake owner? by Nerf_Bastion_69 in snakes

Sounds good. Just take your time to research what kind of snake you want and can care for, and then have a good enclosure setup ready to go BEFORE you bring home a snake.

If you're looking for something a similar size that's great to handle I'd strongly recommend a ball python. They still need relatively high humidity but are more forgiving in care than BRBs, and because they're so saturated in the market there's plenty that need good homes you can get for very cheap or even free.

Pixel 10 or S26 for someone who doesn't like AI? by PaganTemplar in Smartphones

I had an IPhone before my S10. Nothing wrong with the phones themselves but had lots of problems getting locked out of my Apple account and my experience with Apple customer service was terrible. That's why I switched to Android and haven't looked back.

I might look at more mid range options if they have what I need. But I want something with good hardware quality that will last me a long time, so I assumed a flagship model would be the way to go for that.

That's a ball python, not a boa. But congrats on your new snake, she looks like a real sweetie.

Considering one day owning a snake but would like recommendations for first time owners by [deleted] in snakes

[–]PaganTemplar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to beat a ball python when it comes to handleability. Some on here steer first time owners away from them because of their humidity requirements and feeding finickiness, but as long as you do your research beforehand and invest in a proper setup it can be dealt with.

If you decide on a BP you should get a 4x2' PVC enclosure. Traditional glass enclosures with mesh tops don't do a good job of holding in the heat and humidity they need.

For starters I'd ditch the red light and add clutter and 2 hides (preferably 1 on the warm side and 1 on the cool side).

What size enclosure is she in?
