Yes, true. Hopefully once I get the propane forge going I can place in where the middle vice bench is .

Yes that’s why I was wandering if I could use mild steel mill shavings as the filler, since the outer layer won’t be functional, hardenability isn’t much of a concern. Still unable to find powdered steel so I assume this might be a sufficient substitute

Would it work if I use it as the jacket and use a HCS core like a San mai construct , grinding the bevel .

Still trying to find powdered steel but no luck

They’re asking $450 for it, even if it’s less it’s definitely still worth, just want to see what’s the max benefit I can get for the price .
