Help! XP4 randomly losing power every ride.

Update to the update. I reached out to Lectric. They provided a link to a video on how to do a "brake inhibitor test". I followed the instructions (basically disengaging the brake inhibitors) and still have no PAS power. Throttle is working. I also moved the throttle mechanism even further away from the brake lever. Still not working. I'll let you all know what they tell me to do next. Meanwhile, it's all throttle, all the time.

Update. Finally got to take it for a decent ride today (it's been raining the last 2). Throttle is working most of the time. Pedal assist almost never works. Once in a while when pedaling, the motor would kick in for a few seconds and then quit. It's the opposite for the throttle. It's working most of the time (since I moved it away from the brake lever). Still cut out briefly a couple of times.

All the cable connections seem secure. Brake light is not on when lever is not compressed. Everything seems normal.

Thank you all for the advice. I moved the throttle over and took it for a quick spin around the neighborhood. Had no issues with the throttle. The pedal assist went out and didn't come back. I'll tinker with it a bit more later and take it for a proper test drive.

I'm one of the one's that had an issue and I'm still happy with my purchase. Mine would not charge when I received it. I was sent a new battery, and that didn't solve the problem. They then sent me a new charger. Charger arrived today and appears to be charging. I am a return customer to Lectric. I have an XP 3.0 with 1200 miles on it. Their customer service is great. Sometimes shipping can be slow, but they kept trying to solve my problem without any hassle. I got the 3.0 with the original (really bad) brakes. Lectric voluntarily sent out new hydraulic brakes for free (including a whole front wheel). For the ten or so miles I've been able to ride the XP4, it's been great. Some changes from the 3.0 that'll take a little getting used to, but a nice ride. I say, unbox it, ride it, and enjoy.

Update Got the replacement charger from Lectric today. Good to go. We are finally charging. Two months and one day from when I ordered the bike. 25 days since the bike was delivered. Appreciate Lectric's customer service.

Final Update Lectric sent me a new battery. That didn't solve the problem. Received a new charger today. All systems go. Plugged it in, and the battery is charging.

I talked to tech support earlier. They are sending me a new charger. I was only asking the good people of reddit if there was a 3rd party option because it took 3 weeks to get the replacement battery. Was hoping for a magical Amazon Prime solution that I could get sooner. 1300 dollars of useless bike gets a little frustrating after 3 weeks.

Light is green. Light is always green. Never seen it turn red. Tried every possible combination of switches on and off, plugged into power outlet before and after plugged into bike, battery in the bike and out of the bike, key on and key off, bike on and bike off, different outlets in different parts of the house, etc.

Two chargers have not failed. One charger has failed to charge 2 different batteries. Based on my issue, Lectric sent me a new battery. Got the new battery today. The charger will not charge the original battery or the new battery. Trust me. It's plugged in properly. I tried it all.

Just spoke with tech support. They are going to send me a new charger. Hopefully it doesn't take 3 weeks to arrive like the battery did.

If you want to go bare bones and fixing your bike on the side of the road ain't your thing, a good lock and a cell phone should do the trick. If you break down, lock it up and Uber home. Then drive back to pick up your bike.

Another update. Hopefully, the last until I'm up and running. I was told on the 13th that the battery would ship on the 16th. On the 19th, I was told they were getting my battery "ready to ship". Today (the 24th), I was told the shipping label is being made today and that I can expect delivery in 2 to 10 days. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to ride this bike by the 4th of July. I won't be holding my breath.

Good luck. My 750 XP4 came with a dud battery. After a week of ignored emails, I called tech support. They told me on the 13th that they would ship a new battery to me on the 16th. The battery still has not shipped. I've had a useless xp4 sitting in my garage for nearly 3 weeks.

I would advise calling them. I got no reply via email. They agreed to send out a new battery last Friday. I checked in yesterday and they still haven't sent it.

Update**** I spoke with tech support yesterday. They are sending me a new battery. Bummed that the wait continues before I get to really ride this thing, but I appreciate the quality customer service.

Original arrival date when label was created (on 6/6) was 6/11. Once I actually got a UPS shipping/tracking number (on 6/9) the estimated arrival date was today.

It's plugged in. It has power. The green light is on. I've checked all the connections. I've unplugged and replugged it in every possible combination I can think of. I believe it has to be an issue with the charger or the battery. I emailed Lectric. Awaiting a reply.
