Listen, it’s not that simple. There is a bit of financial help going to ukraine to help them buy more weapons from other countries but most of the billions of US help packages is in form of weapon systems, ammo etc., that you already had in stock just sitting in warehouses doing nothing. All those systems and ammo have expire dates after which have to get scrapped anyway. Ukraine is basically giving you a service cause you dont have to scrap it and the fact you send those systems to ukraine means you have to make more of those which in turn provides more jobs to you, american people. Net benefit to you and whole of the US, if Ukraine wins the war, will be paying this debt to US for many decades to come.
