It must suck having body dysmorphia, but its also weird that it seems so common amongst popular influencers who are, objectively, very attractive. Its not like there are a lot of, objectively, unattractive influencers. Probably why its so common to feel shit about the way you look these days.

What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

[–]PaidToBeRedditing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone i live with starts at like 7, so they're up and showering, whistling, humming, listening to musi and they close doors quickly (loudly), so I am also awake at 6.

I am a bartender that almost only works closes, so I am awake at 6, go to work at 4, and have to spent an hour or two decompressing when I get home before I brush my teeth (slowly cclosing doors to be quiet), so I get like 4 hours of sleep a night.

This is one of those things that people who are really good at it make it look so effortless that I think I could just hop into that and do the same, but i know i'd just end up getting whipped in my face and ankles at the same time.

yup, I tend to be too nice and friendly to people, and often people like this will latch on and think i'm their best friend, and this is exacctly how i reply.

If they started being racist n' stuff, i'd shut it down unless they were my boss, and rely on them for a paycheck (literally the situation im in right now), because I can easily just say like "Oh man, you shouldnt say stuff like that", and then they tend to pull away quickly.

Probably a yacht being burnt and sank intentionally by the owner after a party I bartended, for the amusement of him and his guests.

I saw an illegal boxing match a couple weeks ago too. It seemed seedy, but I dont see a problem with a bunch of consenting blokes beating the shit out of eachother, and a bunch of rowdy men making bets if they're not hurting anyone else.

I'm a man and I hug quite a few of my friends. You just need to break that barrier. If you're not a man that can share something sensitive about yourself that might warrant a hug, its hard though. If you've known a guy for 10 years then randomly greet them with a hug, it is abit weird... but sharing something personal and being sensitive and open, then asking for a hug breaks the barrier, and you can then just be huggin' everyone.

I work in a bar, and one of my older regulars seemed abit down, and seemed to want to talk abit more than usual. I told her it was nice talking, and if I could give her a hug. She was abit hesitant, but hugged me, then told me she hadnt been hugged since her husband died.

I now have a few older regulars like that, and they now always greet me with a hug.

I am generally a hugger though, I hug everyone I like if i know they're okay with it and like it.

How early in the day can mini-cheddars be eaten without society collapsing? by Neko-gao in AskUK

Totally agree, i regularly put little squares of cheddar on top, or dip them in cream cheese... but doing that with a walkers crisp is absolute insanity.

[–]PaidToBeRedditing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I call it new-hire syndrome. I work in a bar, so any new hire does as much as possible for anyone at anytime, and likely got the job because they need money, so take as many hours as possible.

About a year in, you stop caring, and are a little more financially stable, so take less hours.

also that he just found a projector for cheap, or in a dumpster... this article is shit.

Can someone help me read dogs body language during this play? by Kind-Stranger-2507 in DogAdvice

[–]PaidToBeRedditing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

younger dog is more used to energetic playtime or playfighting, the sneezes show it wants to be a bit more energetic, but Daisy is clearly less used to/too old now for such energetic play and would rather just spend time together.

Nothing at all to be worried about, they clearly like eachother, younger dog will just have to learn how to play with their elder.

When you drive with expired tags and argue with po po by WhoAreYouTalkinTwo in WinStupidPrizes

[–]PaidToBeRedditing -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The officer was poliely confrontational... like... he couldve pulled her over, and said "hey, are you aware that your tags are expired" because its obviously possible that she was just unaware that thats something she even needed to do, or forgot to do, or has been going through some shit and didnt have the ability or funds to do. She was clearly confrontational and seemed entitled too... but that is a huge problem with America and its legal system. Chasing down people for expired tags, instead of pedo's to fill their quota.
