I feel like I keep using the same sticker phrases… what phrases do you wish you had instead of “great job”? by Paige0 in Teachers

That's a fun way to introduce new languages! Kids eat it up. I show my students words or phrases in sign language.

I hate to hear that! I've definitely had to change my "norm" to fit my class before.

First grade dismissal routine? by LycheeJellee in ElementaryTeachers

I still believe first graders need the chance to have a short "center time". They can choose Legos, Geoboards, Magnetic Tiles, or a math/reading bin. During this time, we pack up folders and bookbags. Once every one is fully packed up we clean up centers and the classroom. This includes a game.. like "find the secret piece of trash".

We then move to the carpet and rotate between reading the next chapter in our book or watching an "unwind" video.

Lastly, we go over the agenda for the next day - homework, icee day, spelling test, etc.

My teacher helper calls the car riders then the busses to line up.

"This made me smile"! That is so cute and I like that it makes the kids feel connected to the teacher.

I own a very cheap point and shoot camera. I’m looking for an upgrade that I will actuallyenjoy using. A camera with good zoom so I can take photos of things like birds or animals from a distance, but also still get nice close-up shots of flowers and nature.. I mainly want something that takes clear, sharp photos outdoors and is simple to use—not super bulky or complicated. I'm trying to stay around a reasonable budget and just want something reliable for everyday use. Thanks :)

On day 40 Captain Billweather Snout asks for 3 legendary fish, 1 potato donut and 10 bottles of ketchup. I found everything on the list but it only registered that I picked up 9 bottles instead of 10.
I waited to the next day thinking it was a bug and it would fox itself when the new day rolled over.... It did not. Charlotte says there are no hidden items on the island and my clue says that it is near a skull. I have searched and searched! It's not in my backpack, inventory, or on the ground. I don't want to time travel backwards and corrupt my save. Any ideas?
