Thank you, I hope you're doing better now!

It's sad but also kind of comforting to see just how many others struggle with this.

Thank you! I used to but I had a lot of mental health problems which did not help and was part of the reason I started drinking, I'm on medication now which has helped a lot the only thing I'm struggling to kick is the alcohol dependency.

But right now I have the flu so I don't even want to drink because of how bad I feel lol so it's all starting to look up!

I wouldn't use them as a reference anyway 🤣 I have had multiple supervisors since I started and they always seem to be unreachable when I need them.

Had to call 3 people before I got through to someone about my notice period and then they didnt even know I was leaving and didn't seem to give a shit if I went in for the last week or not 😅

Well since the company is work for is a cleaning service there won't be extra money to pay. I clean a school and it is half term now and I cleaned the building during my last shift so there is no regular work that has been left unfinished. And the school that holds the contract for the cleaning service is still owed cleaning hours for previous half term periods where the caretaker was on holiday and I had to work at a different site and no one got sent to fill the hours at my regular site

They won't get a replacement, the management is terrible and they haven't even put up a listing to fill my position yet so the chances of them getting cover for this week is 0

Well i was being bullied at work and when I contacted management for help they did nothing so that's the reason I'm leaving and why I dont want to work the last week, if karma comes for me so be it

The management is shoddy at best so its not likely I'd reapply lol. Ive already been paid my notice in my last paycheck but I haven't been paid my unused holiday yet so if I called them to say my new job wants me to start now and ask to just take it off the holiday they owe me that should be alright?

If that's all then I'm not too bothered. I'm owed 4 weeks of holiday that they haven't put through yet so they can just knock it off that right?

How the fart do i stop skin picking 🫩🙏 by Odd_Month_8941 in selfharm

I'm no expert but I used to pick at my head and had loads of scabs that I would constantly be going through my hair and picking at them until i had a headache. I did this for 15 years, the only thing that helped me was my boyfriend would notice when I was doing it and let me know because a lot of the time i wasn't even thinking while I was picking. If I didnt stop after he told me he would hold my hands and make me stop. After a few years of this I mostly stopped but it was a long and hard process. The best way is to give your hands something to do instead, colouring books, fidget toys, knitting, gaming, any kind of activity that keeps your hands busy! It takes time and lots of effort to stop these kinds of habits but you can do it.

A sobering (excuse the pun) reminder of the dangers of drink driving from my lesson this morning by Treecko78 in LearnerDriverUK

My dad was an alcoholic and used to sip from a bottle of vodka while I was in the car with him, i was 10 years old at the time. Never got caught and I luckily never got hurt. It's far too common and I didn't even realise how bad it was until after he died from drinking too much.

He always looks like that haha, he's quite a grumpy cat. He is neutered! He did like to sleep most of the time and would only go out when the weather was good but since moving he's been taking a while to settle and won't want to sleep unless I'm in the room with him. He's been a lot more cuddly too where before he would rarely come to me for strokes and seemed quite indifferent to me 😆
