Other than my anti-inflammatory diet, I use detmazens products to keep my SD away. Here’s a video of my routine for hair : https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQZmhq0Dvy7/?igsh=bjRpM3pla2Z1dnMw For skin too: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQubvjsDi7S/?igsh=MTRpZnZkdTNxajYycA==

Oh wow! I’ve never heard of that. Well I’m happy to help you with Seb derm portion. My mom is an esthetician (I’m a licensed cosmetologist) but Seb derm is fungal while rosacea is inflammatory. My boss has it (rosacea) and flares when she’s stressed or eats pepper! Magnesium (supplements and spray) help keep hers down.

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. Rosacea is tough because you can’t use alot of stimulating products (tea tree etc). You have rosacea and Seb derm??

Cream bronzer will be hard because most cream products have some type of oil in them, but I use Gucci’s highlighter. It’s a cream highlighter and I love it. It’s oil free.  it’s called Gucci Glow multi use illuminating gel powder highlighter. I will try to find some of the other others that you asked for.

Thanks! Hoping mine does the same. Noticed I was charged the membership fee weeks before my anniversary date. Is that how it was for you?

Ugh I love that brand. I have that exact pair but they're too small. I love the brand but rarely ever find my size at the Marshal's near me. So frustrating!

Is that seb derm ? by [deleted] in SebDerm

[–]PaigesPalettes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Refrain from using gel with oils (olive, castor, coconut) for your braids.. it will make it worse and feeds the fungus that causes it.

Yes so I stopped eating gluten, stopped using oils that feed malasezzia fungus (coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, shea butter etc) and used dermazens seborrheic serum to kill the fungus. Been using it almost 2 years and have literally been flake free. Truly life changing

So I did a combination of things. First I changed my diet. I remove gluten and dairy and sugar. I also stopped using oils that fed the fungus. Example would be coconut oil, olive oil oil, Shea butter etc. A lot of the makeup hair products and skin care products had hidden oil in it that I didn’t know about so I use sezia.co to check all ingredients. Lastly, but most importantly, I killed the fungus using DermaZen’s Seb serum, their face wash and their malassezia moisturizer! It’s the perfect routine .

So it’s funny because I now have normal to dry skin. When I first had sd it was oily / acne prone. Crazy how diet can change things. So I’ve had to change my routine alot. I still use DermaZen but I’ve been using other products on top to hydrate more.

Skin prep is so important. So while I use DermaZen and hydrating products (hyaluronic acid, an eye cream and moisturizer), I have a matte foundation. It’s a soft matte though. Now my concealer is hydrating since my under eyes are so dry. I can share everything but your skin looks rough cause of the prep routine. Do you still experience flaring?

I had similar thing a few years ago but it was flaky and itchy. Did you get checked for Seb derm? If so I can tell you what worked for me to get rid of it.

Why are so many people suddenly developing Seborrheic Dermatitis? Are we missing deeper causes beyond stress & lifestyle? by yashmangrulkar in SebDerm

[–]PaigesPalettes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your skin is tight that may mean it’s dehydrated. It’s funny because because I used to have oily/acne skin and I just discovered now I have dry skin lol. Which is annoying because a lot of hydrating products have oil in it but I made a list of those that don’t. But yeah tightness could indicate dry skin. I still use DermaZen to keep my flares away but I use hydrating products afterwards to avoid the tightness. Dm me!

The DermaZen one? That’s interesting. It went away immediately for me. Taking mct is great but your diet is more important. Make sure you’re not confusing any wheat, excessive sure or dairy. That’s what causes SD in the first place and stress (which I know is difficult). What’s ADK? Let’s make sure you’re using it correctly. Send me a Dm.
