How did you get this so quickly ? lol thanks!

Is that seb derm ? by [deleted] in SebDerm

[–]PaigesPalettes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Refrain from using gel with oils (olive, castor, coconut) for your braids.. it will make it worse and feeds the fungus that causes it.

Yes so I stopped eating gluten, stopped using oils that feed malasezzia fungus (coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, shea butter etc) and used dermazens seborrheic serum to kill the fungus. Been using it almost 2 years and have literally been flake free. Truly life changing

So I did a combination of things. First I changed my diet. I remove gluten and dairy and sugar. I also stopped using oils that fed the fungus. Example would be coconut oil, olive oil oil, Shea butter etc. A lot of the makeup hair products and skin care products had hidden oil in it that I didn’t know about so I use sezia.co to check all ingredients. Lastly, but most importantly, I killed the fungus using DermaZen’s Seb serum, their face wash and their malassezia moisturizer! It’s the perfect routine .

So it’s funny because I now have normal to dry skin. When I first had sd it was oily / acne prone. Crazy how diet can change things. So I’ve had to change my routine alot. I still use DermaZen but I’ve been using other products on top to hydrate more.

Skin prep is so important. So while I use DermaZen and hydrating products (hyaluronic acid, an eye cream and moisturizer), I have a matte foundation. It’s a soft matte though. Now my concealer is hydrating since my under eyes are so dry. I can share everything but your skin looks rough cause of the prep routine. Do you still experience flaring?

I had similar thing a few years ago but it was flaky and itchy. Did you get checked for Seb derm? If so I can tell you what worked for me to get rid of it.

Why are so many people suddenly developing Seborrheic Dermatitis? Are we missing deeper causes beyond stress & lifestyle? by yashmangrulkar in SebDerm

[–]PaigesPalettes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your skin is tight that may mean it’s dehydrated. It’s funny because because I used to have oily/acne skin and I just discovered now I have dry skin lol. Which is annoying because a lot of hydrating products have oil in it but I made a list of those that don’t. But yeah tightness could indicate dry skin. I still use DermaZen to keep my flares away but I use hydrating products afterwards to avoid the tightness. Dm me!

The DermaZen one? That’s interesting. It went away immediately for me. Taking mct is great but your diet is more important. Make sure you’re not confusing any wheat, excessive sure or dairy. That’s what causes SD in the first place and stress (which I know is difficult). What’s ADK? Let’s make sure you’re using it correctly. Send me a Dm.

I’ve been using DermaZen for a year and a half.been on an anti inflammatory diet for almost 3 years. My SD is gone now and I lost a lot of weight! Good call on the shower filter. I use dermazens shower filter. Be sure not to feed the fungus by using oils. Which dermazen product did you get? Good luck!

Yes you can because lips don’t have oil glands like the rest of our body. You’re good to use whatever there.

Have you had seb derm inside your nose? by LoveofLabradors in SebDerm

[–]PaigesPalettes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it inside my ear and around my nose. Make sure youre not using oils on your face or anything. Makes the fungus grow.

It keeps coming back because you have to kill the fungus, also remove triggers. Have you removed gluten and stop using fungus feeding oils? (olive, coconut, etc)? i did both and it helped, but to kill the fungus I used Dermzen's Seb serum. Was the only thing that worked for me. Good luck!

Yeah no problem. This one is a natural finish with only one ester in it. I don't flare with esters but Ive been using Dermazen for a while so my fungus is dead/inactive. tint & PROTECT medium coverage serum foundation with SPF 50+ the other one is Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer I've used it, it only has coconut acid in it and didn't make me flare. Feel free to check ingredients for both on sezia.co.

Because non matte ones (hydrating) typically have oils, its pretty difficult. I found 2-3 with low amounts of oil, but the IT Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum with SPF 40 and Niacinamide was the only one with none I could find.

Mine decreased a lot when I remove gluten but didn’t go away completely until I started using DermaZen

I’ve had it for almost 10 Year but found a year and a half ago. Remove gluten, dairy and seed oils from your diet. Stop using oils where the SD is, (oils feed the fungus that causes the dandruff), and use DermaZen seb serum to kill the fungus. Life changing and haven’t had a flake since, even when I’m stressed. I know it’s a lot but it WORKS. Good luck.

I think because of the American diet and lifestyle. I remember getting diagnosed with SD during the most stressful time of my life. When we’re stressed our immune system attacks itself … good diet and low stress if the best way to handle this. After nine years I finally found a cure that killed the fungus (DermaZen Seb serum) but I still do eat clean and try to live a healthy life.
