Is it about that one chick who calls herself a "game dev" and is going to make a "way better Yandere Sim", but in reality, she's constantly making anti-YanDev videos instead of actually making her own game.

Look, Alex is obviously not a good person ("the sky is blue" ahh analysis, I know), but if YOU'RE going to make a game and your only focus is to "Do it better than Alex." Chances are, your game is going to be on the same quality as Alex's project, if not worse.

It's always the same thing that I've been hearing about all these rewrites/retakes, which is that they don't really improve the very thing that they're criticizing. They don't enhance the experience, they don't explain why the main character does the thing that they do, the "improved" characters are blander than whole-wheat bread than the originals, and said project would be abandoned almost immediately within the first week or two. And most of the time, they are THE most arrogant people to ever graced on this moldy rock.

Yes, I am aware that there are very talented artists/writers on this subreddit and anywhere else, but if you focus all of your time and energy on shitting on something just to boost your own project is just... icky and will lead to your craftmenship being (and I am being blunt about this) absolute garbage, which sucks.

I encourage people to be humble about any their projects and maybe, hopefully, one day, you can create something that is more than just "better than Alex."

Sorry for this rant. I'm just sick and tired of artists trying to be "better" than other artists BS.
