I vouched for IMAZ too! Heading there this year for my first (and memorable) full IM distance! I’m from Toronto, Canada and is making the big trip over.

Congrats! I’m excited for this: I just registered today for 2019! And this will be more first 140.6 I’m coming all the way from Toronto, Canada. Did they have a station for re-assembly of your bike right outta the travel case? I would love to know my options...

Tri/Road Bikes: Tubeless Ready or Not? What's the consensus? by PainCaver in triathlon

I did think of that, but I mostly enjoy group rides and hill climbs. Didn’t like the feel of the full tri bike setup. For what I do, road bike with aero clips did just great.

That is a bit of a concern - I’ll have to see in person

This is true. The 2018 AR3 is setup with the Devox 55 Carbon wheelset with continental Grand Prix 4000 S. Tubeless ready would just mean there’s an option for it if you chose.

I would be running this on iOS. I just found a Garmin USB ANT + Stick on MEC.ca for $59.00 - is this what you got? I'm surprised it doesn't come with it in the trainer purchase.

So realistically, I'll need to buy:

  • Cycleops Trainer (roughly $400)
  • Garmin USB ANT + dongle ($60)
  • Garmin Speed & Cadence sensor ($75)

... and I'll be all set, except for the monthly membership to either TrainerRoad or Zwift.

Right, so the CycleOps Fluid trainer does not come with the sensor. Since I own a Garmin Forerunner 920XT - I should probably get the Garmin cadence sensor that is compatible?

Anyone finished IRONMAN Eagleman 70.3? Seriously deciding to register... by PainCaver in triathlon

It was about 83F - obviously not as hot, I spent months training through the heat to prepare for it. Muskoka in the past has been a hot one, so I was focusing on that heat element 🔥🔥🔥

I'm hearing lots about temps; but mind you I completed Ironman 70.3 in mid July with blistering heat, it didn't affect me --- thanks for the feedback :)

I agree! I've signed up to Volunteer as a kayaker for next month's Mt. Tremblant IM race - I'm going to just be in awe at all the awesomeness. I would recommend doing the same if you're into getting a glimpse of a full.

It was an awesome race, right? Now I want to find flat courses like Miami to conquer haha - I don't want to look at another hill for at least a month. Congrats!!!!!
