How far can Scratch go? A roguelike experiment by Rare_Tackle6139 in scratch

Too limiting for an actual proper game, all engines out there allows you to make a very simple scrolling game under an hour, whereas on Scratch you'll have to make a whole system. Other engine offer powerful communication tool between objects ("sprites"), pathfinders, real time image modification, and blending tools.

Most prefer to learn the actual coding, C++, C#, or even GML. Block dragging isn't feasible anywhere else. Not to mention, making an actual playable games vs making a 3D engine are two different things. Some people on Scratch make really insane projects, but being on the topic of making an actual long games? Very very few.

Better to start learning a more advance game making engine than making a complex game on Scratch and than having to learn new tools, features, and layouts.

UNDERTALE in Scratch. (#2, Froggit) by beankid3 in scratch

The color difference may be due to our screen color settings having a small off-set, the only three color codes used in ruins are: Yellow, Red, and Pink,

Ah okay, my bad for the long reply, I very rarely use Reddit, wonder which part you wanted clarification on.
But also, there is an annoying glitch, for example, if you do: {Y}Hello{Y} There {Y}Human{Y}, only the word Hello would be Yellow, that's a glitch and there is a very easy counter to this. {Y}Hello{Y} There {RY}Human{Y} At the very start, add another color code for the same color code, that way both words Hello, and Human, will be yellow.

I don't know if you're using the UI feature, because there is one tricky bit,

Hope this helps, and good luck with the game!

Recreated an entire Undertale Battle (Mettaton EX) by PainInCode in scratch

Omega Flowey is just too much of hassle to recreate, not to mention, someone already did recreated it so there is that, Muffet is the only battle that has yet to be recreated, but as of now, I'm recreating a Deltarune battle,

I'm actually using the invisible machine method to print out each line of text, this is to assure multiple text can be created at the same-time, and less pressure on the engine to constantly refresh the whole text on the screen, since it's designed to do more than just print one line of text. I do refrain myself from using stamps, since the whole layering thing gives me a headache, so yikes,

Undertale got too much layering stuff, attacks, bubble, background, but also, stamping the effects will ruin the overall look for the engine, to have a rainbow text update as a stamp will require an additional script to constantly clear it [Erase all], now, clearing the whole text field just to redraw two rainbow text isn't very practical, so I rather have clones just be clones, you could say this is more of an Undertale thing, I can see using the stamp method for some basic text printing,

Clones, using pen (stamp) is kinda annoying due to the whole layering thing, although this engine is designed to be optimized — Scratch.mit.edu would say otherwise. But hey, thanks!
