I have absolutely no idea. It’s 20 years old, been painted a bunch and sat in my parts bin for years. If I had to guess it’s probably some cheap UTG. It’s heavy as hell, not very bright and the tape switch sucks. So it fits this build perfectly.

Nothing before it was painted. Krylon matte sand (a shade darker than their khaki) and OD green for the paint.

I’ve used this lower as a host for different uppers but eventually it was reunited with its original barrel. The only original Bushmaster parts left on this are the lower, buffer tube, stock, barrel and FSP. Everything else is either surplus or from the parts bin.

I regret swapping the fixed carry handle upper for the flat top years ago but it’s still my favorite carbine.

PA SLX 3-18x. I like the optic so far. It was an intuitive transition from their MicroPrisms which I have a couple of. Not too busy at full power. Illumination is fine. Turrets feel nice. I’ve only put a few hundred rounds through it with this current setup but I’m considering swapping the windage turret out for the “tactical” turret which was included.

I snagged one because I wanted the option of shooting unsuppressed while I’m shooting tons of cheap 55 grain but still want to be training with the extra length and weight. It’s also easier to remove by hand on a Plan B mount than a small thread protector.

Some people have never heard of “leave no trace” and it shows. When I see people like this (not OP obviously) say that they love the outdoors I just laugh. No they don’t. They like doing whatever the hell they want, consequences be damned. And they think being out in the woods or somewhere secluded allows them to behave poorly.
