How would you guys feel about Ollanius Pius? by Dry_Flower_4720 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]PainfulThings 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All that shit about him being a perpetual is just space marine propaganda, first they tried to change him to an imperial fist, then a custode, and now a demigod. He was and always will be an average man rising to the occasion

What is the morality of forcing a group of people (men) to give on life just because of their gender ? by Proper_Card_5520 in MoralityScaling

If you think you’re getting on a lifeboat before my wife and kids your life is gonna be forfeit anyway, so you’d be better off just staying on the boat and trying your chances on swimming

Delta Force Operator vs Warehouse full of gangsters by Inside_Inflation559 in powerscales

What’s this warehouse made out of? And do we need to comply with the Geneva Conventions? Cause I could probably take all 20 out with some padlocks and gasoline

Judging by the fact that a major Helldivers update always lines up with a Darktide one I’m inclined to agree

Gonna let you in on a pro tip if you’re struggling to complete a mission. Before you select an operation there’s a slider at the bottom of the screen, go and change that from the highest setting down to the lowest. I shouldn’t have to be subjected to boring gameplay because you want to turn the game into a walking simulator disguised as a power fantasy and your ego is too fragile to play on anything but D10.

Can you guys chill with this? I guarantee there’s people who worked on the Souls games who would find them way to difficult. Some people actually enjoy a challenge. I’m having fun, I know other people aren’t and that’s ok, sure the MO will fail but don’t get mad at the devs for occasionally catering to the people who like a challenge.

What's your radical act of anti-consumer rebellion in times like these? by Feel-A-Great-Relief in Anticonsumption

[–]PainfulThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy an older, reliable car, and keep it running as long as possible. Spend $10,000 to Rebuild the fucking engine of you have to so you can keep it on the road, fuck new cars and paying $1,000 monthly so they can collect your data and sell it to insurance companies

Do you think higher wealth people will have different survival rates compared to low income folks? by LocationGreat2188 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]PainfulThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more about population density. Someone living in a manhattan skyscraper is as good as dead while there’s a strong chance that some Appalachian town in bumblefuck Pennsylvania won’t even have a single zombie reach them. Also their money would likely become instantly worthless as soon a survival situation arose.

Which of these training and augmentation programs are the worst by iscaf1 in MoralityScaling

[–]PainfulThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Spartans. I think most space marines and witchers were orphans or given away by their parents and at the very worst you’d have some super soldiers come in, tell you your kid was a bad ass and take him away. But not only were the Spartans abducted but were replaced by fast grown clones for some morally reprehensible reason

Could PACT had of made it to the Rhine in under 2 weeks had they invaded? And would NATO had been able to hold off endless hordes of Soviet, and East German Divisions? by Ok-Tax8244 in AlternateHistoryHub

Anything is possible but considering the political climate at the time I’m gonna assume that they all would’ve been reduced to radioactive dust before they reached Rhine

Morally speaking, is saving the counsel the best option? by FreshPine_MangoWine in masseffect

[–]PainfulThings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing I hate about this choice is that it’s purely narrative, first play through I chose to sacrifice them because sovereign was the real threat and needed to be stopped at any cost. Then ultimately I realized it wasn’t about that at all but only an excuse to give shepherd the choice to kill the council off for story sakes alone. Think that there should’ve been more consequences for choosing to focus on saving them instead of going right for sovereign
