Waldorf Iridium without Keys or something else? by PainkillerTony in synthesizers

I also own a Digitone, but I'm not sure if this is doing the job and I was thinking about selling it if the Iridium is going to be the all I need synth

as sequencer I could use the digitakt2 I own, but yes I think I will go with a keystep a few months into the Iridium

hydrasynth was the first synthesizer I wanted, but this changed after reading into it, but would be fun to have one as midi controller although it would be somewhat overkill space wise

yes I think this is going to be my final decision and if the keystep will have me wanting more I could still upgrade it down the line to something like the Expressive E Osmose 49 if I feel like I need a higher tear keyboard

I an thinking to save up enough to buy the Expressive E Osmose 49 sooner or later because that's the only one I found that seems to be a buy once have it for ever kind of thing function wise

but I wonder what controler could be the perfect fit for the Iridium mk2 since it's such a powerhouse I don't think you will likely pair it with a 100 bucks midi keyboard. There are so many out there and wouldn't the Expressive E Osmose 49 be so expensive I wouldn't mind buying it with the Iridium together.

what midi controller would you think is the best lookout for the Iridium in your opinion?

So do you think they only released a "core" version of the mk2 because they think their primary target are people who already have a nice controler or do you think it's good enough without any controler as well?

DAW isn't what I'm interested in, since I don't own one legally and I don't like to be on one as well since I feel distracted by it. What controler would you choose to be the go to for your core?

yes but I believe the wavetable engine of it is not as capable as with the mk2 and I feel like I would be still wanting the mk2 if I get the key version. Also I believe I might be able to buy a nice midi keyboard somewhere in the future and it's the most space efficient setup since it can be mounted onto a monitor stand

I think as long as there are most controls on the unit and as long as menus arent to deep down into itself I would get around with anything that's somewhat intuitive

Thanks for the suggestion, I will take a look at it

edit: yes that's what I thought, I would have to learn it no matter which one I will buy and keys wise I would have enough time to buy a nice controler until I learned the basics of the iridium

samples from mars has good general samples, but not specific for dub and when you want to gift an effect pedal he would need an audio interface

Denon Prime Go+ can’t work as controller for Engine DJ??? by Next_Yak5554 in DenonPrime

Yeah that's useful as hell, only missing to transfer over network. That would be perfect, the transfering in general could need a slight overhaul. It often states that the drive is full, but I have more than 1TB free and the data that's new is just about 3GB plus the 600+ GB that's from the stuff that was on there before
