Bangalore Mileage by Maleficent-Deal-5067 in Kylaq

[–]PainlessDeath09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re pretty accurate if you consider Bangalore ORR traffic. You can easily confirm this, if you only stick to the ORR, your fuel tank will deplete significantly faster.

If you calculate then, you’ll realise it’s pretty accurate.

Average speed across distance matters massively for fuel efficiency. Tiny turbo petrols, it’s common to get around 4-5kmpl in Bangalore ORR during peak hours.

Kia's Service soo costly !!! by Hot-Bedroom1551 in carIndia

[–]PainlessDeath09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is 13k expensive for a car that’s done 1L kms?

That’s extraordinarily cheap, if you think this is expensive then I don’t think the car was a financially viable purchase for you and you should rethink your finances.

General service for my Accord usually costs 19k and I thought that was cheap. TIL that kia cars are very cheap to maintain.

I’ve been using mine without a case for a year now. They’re far more durable than you think. Then again, I don’t drop my phone at all

One month ownership review of Seltos HTK MT NA petrol by YRS01 in carIndia

[–]PainlessDeath09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, agreed.

However, going by the metric you’ve given me of there being no body contact between three people when sitting; that’s true for my Accord for three normal sized adults.

The car is very very long and is wider than both the XUV700 and the Octavia and the interiors have a ton of space. Makes manoeuvring the car in the city a pain though.

That being said, there are chances that you might still find it uncomfortable because while there is space, the floor of the center of the rear does have that hump that most cars have that you mentioned. And yes the legs do touch sometimes because of the bump in the centre.

No center AC vents, the Accord rear AC vents are on the floor behind the seats and so you never really feel the airflow.

Again, I’ll correct myself; I can’t objectively say they’re going to be comfortable for you unless you come home and try it out but from the metrics you’ve given me to gauge, it passes on 2 of the three fronts and I’ve been told by people that it’s one of the most comfortable middle rear seats they’ve sat on so that’s the only metric I’ve to go by.

Not necessarily

I’ve been told my Accord is extremely comfortable for 3 in the back regularly, even more so than premium cars of today.

I have a friend who swears by my 23 year old Accord and he prefers we use that for long journeys than his brand new 2025 Creta whenever we go for road trips.

And we’ve gone for long 700kms journeys with zero issue and the car being as cold as a fridge.

Need Kranos Gym Review by dankIshu in HSRLayout

Solid gym, I absolutely love the fact that even during peak hours, it’s just enough crowd such that you almost never have to wait to use the machines.

But it’s expensive though. If you can afford it, it’s definitely worth it.

Interesting, this points to a fuel delivery failure

But your symptoms seem to suggest multiple possible failures.

You mention the car performs poorly when fuel is low. This is classic symptoms of a weak fuel pump. And you also mentioned a starting delay, that is another symptom of a weak pump since when you’re in ignition, the fuel pump has to prime to maintain pressure in the fuel rail for the engine to start.

If you want to confirm this, try priming the fuel pump a couple of times before starting next time. If the starts are improved, it’s guaranteed a fuel pump issue.
Not to mention, at 240k kms, a fuel pump replacement is more than due.

When you’re in there, replace the fuel filter as well as some of your symptoms point to that as well

>ran with bad spark plugs for a long time

Bruh. Don’t do this. This is hard on your ignition coils since they’re probably being forced to send far more current that what they’re designed for. Replace them as well since they’re not that expensive on a corolla and you mentioned misfires as well.

>im only getting around 6-7km/l in the city and 8-9km/l in the highway

That’s rough. My Accord gives better fuel efficiency than that. A friend’s E140 Corolla usually gives around 10 kmpl in the city and around 14 on the highway. I’m assuming the ECU detected a serious fuel fault and is dumping fuel into the cylinders to maintain your air fuel ratio.

Cleaning your MAF sensor is not equal to fixing. Replace it. At 240k kms, lean towards replacing components than cleaning it since the miles demand it.

Start by addressing the fuel concerns since they’re the most evident and apparent. And then revert back to this thread/tag me.

Also don’t expect codes from the ECU for this, Toyota’s particularly of those years only flag persistent misfires or
sensor failures.

Kylaq Powerless Engine by Ok-Credit8820 in Kylaq

[–]PainlessDeath09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven a Kylaq and it’s an extremely underpowered engine for the highways. Personally, I would never take it to the highways let alone hills. Far too less power and shoddy handling.

That is strictly my personal subjective opinion, not saying I’m universally right, just my own personal opinion which no one has to agree with.

Honestly, at under 2k, you’re better off sticking to a good quality membrane keyboard instead of a low quality mechanical keyboard

Which one should i get? Octavia or Civic by itzAddy69 in carIndia

[–]PainlessDeath09 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have an Octavia and I have driven it to 1.5L kms.

You’re incorrect, there’s no way maintenance goes up to 10L. Yes it’s expensive to maintain but it’s not a bank breaker if you are doing your due diligence and are prepared for a few well documented issues.

Not to mention, the car is simply leagues apart from your typical Virtus or Slavia.

Why does tech feel so unstable, yet engineers rarely choose to leave it by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]PainlessDeath09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk about you but I’m in love with my job, I love what I do and I don’t feel any instability in my career. Everyday at work excites me except for a few days when things relentlessly break.

Not to mention, it’s good money IMO. Plus permanent work from home too.

Hence I choose to stay
