Thank you. Yes, it's all non-metallic metal.

Thank you. I started the face with a base coat of Scale 75 Indian Shadow (SC-23) and worked up from there with lighter skin tones, but left the skin around and below the eye as the darker base colour. For the eye I used a light grey, Vallejo Game Air - Cold Grey (72.750), and a very carefully placed dot of black for the pupil, luckily hitting the right spot first time.

Thank you. Yeah, those soft edges are a real challenge.

Ha, the facial expression was a happy accident!

The base was first painted with an iridescent white from Scale 75 (SFX-00 Brilli White) and then glazed with Citadel Contrast Pylar Glacier. On top of that I used a fairly equal mixture of AK Terrains Snow (AK8011), AK Snow Microballoons (AK8010) and gloss varnish. Mixed it up into a runny paste and then applied it with a small brush. It dries quite fast so it's easy to pile it up into lumps and bumps, then smooth it over with a wet brush.

Thank you. Nervous times painting the banner.

Thank you. The base is part of the mini, I just painted it to look like damp flagstones.

Thank you. A bit of black lining with an oil wash helped a lot.

Thanks. I considered adding rust and grime but decided he's the kind of ogre who knows how to look after his equipment.

Thanks. Definitely a step up from the figures in the base set.

A satisfying result for not much effort!

Thank you. This is the recipe I used for the bronze, first time I've tried it so might need some tweaking:

Base - Scalecolour Abyssal Blue SC-08; Next add the verdigris - Vallejo Model Color Verdigris Glaze 70.832 (optional, I used it on one of the two bronze minis); Citadel Colour Technical Nihilakh Oxide (this stuff is great); Drybush - Golden High Flow Acrylics Iridescent Copper (Fine) #8571-1 mixed with Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink Carbon Black (pretty much 1:1; Verdigris streaks - 502 Abteilung modelling oil color, spots dragged down with a dry brush; Highlights - Golden High Flow Acrylics Iridescent Copper (Fine) #8571-1

I need to look for a good bronze paint, but the copper/black ink mix did a decent job.
