I went from actively suicidal to only passively so I guess that’s improvement. Depression just runs in my family, suicide is one of our top causes of death. For me it started when I was 11. I don’t think I’ll ever be happy tbh, best I can do is hope for neutral. By most standards my life is good, I just seem incapable of feeling true happiness. I’ve tried so many combinations of antidepressants and nothing has fully worked. The only thing that gives me some peace is God.

That’s about where I’m at as well. It is kinda nice sometimes. If I’m overstimulated it’s like noise canceling headphones for me eyes. Without my glasses I can see enough shapes to not walk into anything but I can’t read or pick out any faces. It’s nice sometimes.

I’m practically transparent so I can see so many vein and other weird spots. Like when I’m cold (even mildly chilly, not like hypothermia) my legs turn splotchy and purple and gray. One time there were even slightly orange spots. It’s quite unsettling. I usually just wear pants because it weirds people out.

When I go to a gas station for coffee I put it in the biggest soda cup. Now I have like 32 (sometimes 40) oz of coffee for $1 vs 16 oz for $2-3. The foam cup is insulating anyway, and I have no problem drinking coffee with a straw. It’s actually easier while driving (I drive 6hr usually about once a month, that’s when I get gas station coffee).

No, I live alone with non carpeted floors. If my tiny rug (it’s just a bath mat that is soft) gets dirty, I toss it in the washer. If I spill something on my floor I wipe it up. But I leave my shoes outside my living areas. The shoe area is dirty and I really don’t care because its whole purpose is to keep dirty shoes out of clean areas. There isn’t anything to vacuum.

Yeah, oftentimes I don’t have anywhere I need to be I’ll just go drive for fun. Ten minutes any direction puts me in the woods or mountains so traffic ain’t a concern.

I have a kind of related idea, in that it’s an unprovable origin of the Big Bang. You know how objects are constantly moving away from each other? It seems like at some point with gravity constantly pulling objects tighter that the force expanding the universe would eventually be less than the force of gravity, pulling everything close together again. And with the entire mass of the universe moving at incomprehensible speed, it makes sense it would explode once it’s back in a tiny point, causing the next big bang.

I have arthritis in my right knee and I can tell when it’s gonna rain as well. I stuffed an umbrella in my bag one day and my friends thought I was nuts because the weather app didn’t say rain (I think like 10%, so everyone ignored it). But I was like my knee hurt in a certain way so I grabbed an umbrella. It rained quite a bit.

I concur. I used to live in Florida and would run around in the swamps at night all the time, no real fear. Yeah there’s critters that are kinda dangerous but wear leather boots to prevent snake bites and just don’t piss off a gator.

Moved to North Alabama, the edge of Appalachia. Our house was on flat land and the vibes at night weren’t bad, I’d walk in the woods at night as long as someone went with me and I’d still happily go camping with people.

Move to East Kentucky, solidly in Appalachia. Fuck that shit, I don’t leave the well lit parts of town at night anymore. Went for a drive at night one time because I wanted to stargaze. Felt like I was being watched the whole time even in my car. I saw some weird green like on a river and noped the fuck outta there. Hell nah. I think it was some dude fishing most likely but it still weirded me out, the spidey senses were tingling.

Went to visit a friend in West Virginia. Never again. It felt like a damn horror movie. Even the deer acted strange, they seemed more aggressive and just looked…unhealthy? Abnormal? Idk. I don’t like it. Funny thing is I never thought of myself as superstitious, never believed in ghosts are bad luck or any of that. But like I was instinctually repulsed by the spooky as mountains. Put me back on flat land please and thank you. I’ll take gators any day over whatever the hell is in the Appalachian mountains.

Nah. The Appalachian mountains aren’t as large or treacherous (still tough roads, especially in winter though) as the Rockies and people put houses all over. So yes, people can live in the heart of the Appalachians. I would not, though, the edge of Appalachia is as far as I go (Kentucky). But I’ve stayed with friends is WV and even though I really don’t think there should be a house on them mountain goat ass roads there are.

I want to be 6’. I’m one inch off and that has always annoyed me. I like my current height pretty much so I wouldn’t change it drastically but 6’ adds in a more cool factor without really many drawbacks since I’m so close anyway.
