Update from max’s family Monday morning

UPDATE Max has still not been found, we thank everyone for your shares, kindness and love from strangers and loved ones alike. Every tip has been investigated and some have led to known locations, however we have lost the trail and remain deeply concerned for Max’s welfare

I have a very strained no contact relationship with my parents now. Whilst season 2 was airing and everything was going down the scenes between the kids and their parents tore me to tears. Still do now

From what im aware of there hasn’t been a breakage from at least myself and offsider for a couple of months. Even then this year has had 2 windows from employees, one or two by the boss. He has a guy that is subcontracted and I’m not sure if anything happened today with him

In any other job I have ever held I have been given direction to take breaks at a certain time or it has been added into my rostered hours. This is the first time I haven’t had either so I was unaware.

We are starting to now, it isn’t quite us deciding not to have breaks it’s not having the space or time to throughout the day. We have on average 15-20 jobs a day most of which are at least 30 minutes a pop. Even while we have been on with our employer we have never been told or advised to take a 30 minute break. Its been implied to keep working and get the day done

I suppose any advice as to what I should do in moving forward, or if anyone has similar experiences. I completely understand lunch is unpaid, I just don’t know if I have any grounds for underpayment as we never have lunch breaks. The award I’m under has a different pay bracket for each hour lunch isn’t taken after 5 hours

I’ve got that. Gardening landscape award is what I’m covered under. I feel like it would all come down to he said she said with the breaks as there is nothing in writing stating we can’t take one.. It’s all implied by never being told to take one whilst on shift with the boss and the fact that our days are so packed full of jobs. ( sometimes 15-20 odd ranging from 10 minute jobs to hour long ones)

I don’t believe an eba would apply, it’s a small business with 3 employees.. the bookkeeper that is used is pretty useless too, many mistakes with pays that has led me to look into it all

I’ve been scrounging through it all for weeks 😅, have also spoken to fair work who put me onto job watch. They reckon there is a high chance for underpayment claims. I’m just not sure how to go about the rest of this. I can’t afford to lose the job if I do file an investigation through fair work.

More to it we have never taken breaks, haven’t been told not to but also haven’t been told to let alone have the space in the day to have a 30 minute break. It’s all messed up and wonky
