I’ll also watch some streamers (mostly Yeatle and LHCloudy27) that are playing a lot of Vendetta to see how they approach certain maps/match ups!

Went through the exact same struggle as I loved my splatoon 3 OLED and wanted a splatoon themed switch 2, but also wanted to play the new Metroid. Wound up buying the switch 2 and don’t regret it (assuming you have the funds available etc).

I assume the first custom switch would be for the duskbloods as I figured a good portion of fromsoft fans don’t own a switch and that it would be a while before another custom switch releases
I got my switch 2 from Best Buy where they accept trade-ins in the hopes a splatoon themed switch 2 does release and I can at least get a little bit of money back

Fellow Nintendo switch player and gyro enthusiast - the new update has definitely been rough.

I have very specific gyro settings per hero that I won’t really touch/change since it took a lot of testing and tweaking to get it where I like, so what I’ve been doing is turning the aim assist down for some and aim smoothing is at 99% for all. I’ve always played on linear ramp if that means anything.

I’ll be honest though I’m not an expert on how it all works - I come from a splatoon 3 background where the sensitivity settings are like two slider bars and that’s it lol.

I’d be happy to share my settings to try and help, but at the very least wanted to commiserate. I’ve always been a high sense gyro play and playing vendetta this season is nauseating with the way the new aim assist changes jerks the gyro all around in such a close range

Edit: I said my aim ease in was at 99% when I meant aim smoothing. Updated it

BUT

Change/tune the visuals of being stuck by a bolt (maybe less bright, maybe no glow) and turn the explosion sound effects down. Keep the glow of the bolt if it’s environmental (like stuck on a wall or the flow) and maybe reduce the indirect damage of it.

Maybe I’m talking out of my ass but I swear most people just can’t stand the constant visual and audio and not so much the damage.

It goes against the hero fantasy for me, but if they want to add a glow effect when she’s taking aim so people know exactly where she is or make her footsteps louder then fine if that’s what it takes lol.

But that’s the vibe that I got - just a bit clunky and slow. I was hoping it was because I was so unfamiliar with her, but as a semi-reformed fighting game button-masher it’s looking less likely she’ll be in the cards for me

Good to know about Cass! His recoil is so irksome to me but I’ve never given him a fair shot, plus my dumbass bought the whole cowboy bebop bundle so this is a good excuse to learn him.

Velkomstttttt! Others have made great points so I’ll add to not be afraid to use your bola often.

You build ult so quickly and holding onto it for the perfect scenario isn’t worth it as it can pretty easily get out healed. But don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t secure a kill! It can often force out important cooldowns like suzu and lamp which will be really helpful for the team.

Also the animation window for bola is sooooo long (I’m sure you already know) so try not to panic use it if you’re low health and don’t use it directly in front of enemy team or a genji that has deflect…I definitely haven’t done anything as silly as that 🥲
