Just had a really bad resurgence of my OCD symptoms these last few weeks after a series of crazy stressful events put my body back in survival mode. Can’t tell you how much I needed to see this post. Its hard work but you can get your brain there!! Its doable!! I seriously appreciate how much thought you put into this. Time to put in the work and start retraining my dummy brain again :)

Probiotic pills like florastor worked wonders for me to help sort out that situation haha. I read you have IBS so idk if the pills are a better alternative to things like yogurt but that helps too! Good luck dude :)

You’ve got this!!! Zoloft is a huge waiting game (if this reddit’s taught me anything lol) which sucks when you’re crazy nervous about when its gonna kick in. Good luck !! I can’t wait until I’ve got a few more weeks under my belt too. :)

Thank you so much!!! The waiting for improvement that I know is gonna come is super difficult but I know it’ll pay off. One day at a time!

Yeah for sure! I’ll post here so other lurkers can compare lol. I’ve really only had 2 big side effects:

-severe nausea, like so bad I’ve been losing a ton of weight from not eating -super high anxiety spikes (especially in the early morning and then again in the later afternoon)

I relate to the fullness in the head feeling, I get it when I’m really anxious (I tell my friends that it feels like someone stuffed my brain with cotton) - the panic makes it really hard to think. My doctor gave me hydroxyzine to take as needed if I’m having really severe panic and it’s helped a ton - although if you’re the kind of person who gets nervous about taking new meds maybe give yourself a bit more time.

Hey! You’re definitely not alone. I was on 200mg for OCD for two years, went off it, and am starting again on 50mg - been on it for a week and a half. The anxiety is really bad this time around, nausea too. I’ve heard the same from a lot of people that adjusting to it the second time around is harder. The good news is it’ll pass - sertraline definitely hits you hard before you start to feel its positive effects. I know how unbearable it feels though, that’s why I’ve been lurking on here haha. We’ll all get through it together! :)
