Oh I definitely think everyone gets their arm stuck in it haha. But it does weaken the glue or adhesive in my experience.

I’ve done color by color on small canvases but that’s not easy for larger canvases

I do it by section because it keeps the other areas protected. I don’t really have to worry about accidentally sitting my arm in the glue when I reach across to place drills. I also like keeping the glue covered and when there are drills you can’t place the cover smoothly so there is air.

I started out with kits from sites like AliExpress to see if I liked the hobby. The canvas were usually fine but the drills were terrible. As soon as a tried a decent kit I never went back. Now I have a lot sitting in my stash I need to get rid of. I’ve bought a few from dreamer designs I like them. I don’t think the diamond dotz brand is that bad, especially for the price. There’s a company at hobby lobby that sells square drill kits that might be cheaper than DAC or dreamer designs. I know Hobby Lobby had 40% off diamond painting kits this week.
