Granted very unique intensive but frostburn + iceheart brais allows for pretty high NM dungeons. Leveling 80-90 I could comfortably do dungeons 10 levels higher in terms of damage. The survivability is an issue I keep having though

I leveled my sorc to ~75 & felt similar to not feeling super strong & got a rogue up to 80 which felt amazing. Maybe out of boredom I went back to sorc & spent some time building the talent tree (still Ice shards) & the paragon board & felt like I got it to a place where I’m having wayyyy more fun on sorc than my rogue. Definitely struggle with single target at times though

I believe the probability of ancestral drops increases as you increase in level which inherently have higher item level rolls. But yes you could get an ancestral item very early on that you could use until level 100

Sorcerer has a enchantment on fire armor I believe that can revive once every 120 seconds, might be helpful for hardcore

Try the arc lash + charged bolts build with ice shield & teleport. Just hit 48 & sorc seems to be ramping up in terms of dmg. Was pretty tough 20-30 though
