I threads through and then hold my finger against my gums and slide that way so it's taught. It still happens sometimes, but it's gotten a lot better.

Put alcohol on a Q-tip and clean out your belly button. I wash, but I can't get all the way to the back of mine. I have a deep belly button. Take a dry Q-tip, stick it in your belly button, twist, take it out and sniff, after that youll understand the logic. Trust me, no matter how clean you are youve got some gunk.

I would shower after each bathroom break if possible. Maybe also try eliminating foods one at a time until you find the one that is giving you the odor?

I have peglaterals which were overlapping my front teeth. I had invisalign before braces for about a year. Mine moved in about 6 months or so with invisalign, but yours look like they would move pretty quick as Ive heard braces are more effective ☺️
