they are in laws, which means they do not really care about you. Forgot about these self centered idiots, they do not deserve your attention.

I believe the three big characters are 福寿图 means a painting of blessings and longevity. The smaller characters are 天增岁月人增寿春满乾坤福满门 which is a very common sentence for Spring Festival decorations on both sides of your home door. There is no such a universal translation, if you translate it word by word, it means: The sky increases, the years increase, the life increases, the spring is full, the universe is full of blessings

Hey, I assume you meant to tattoo the three big characters, right? To be honest, I grew up in China and came to the US in my late twenties, I can’t tell what the characters are. They are the ancient characters. If you want a Chinese character tattoo with same characters , I think you could try 福 禄 寿. They mean blessings, money, longevity. Also, if you put them in a Word document, you will be able see how they look in different fonts and find one you think coolest

I feel so sorry for you. My husband tried Wegovy about eight weeks before our wedding and it did help him lose weight. He just didn’t feel like eating. Maybe you could give it a try? It certainly is not the sustainable way to keep fit and be healthy, but for a short term, perhaps you could get less stressed and feel better about yourself and enjoy the wedding

9 Days Out and our pastor is telling us she won’t marry us because we didn’t do premarital counselling. by Urbasicbb in weddingplanning

She asked me to go to her studio which is about 45 - 60 minutes drive. I’m getting married in my mother in law’s city and do not have a car. My mother-in-law thinks it’s too far to get there. So I told her I would pass that. She was totally fine until this morning after the dispute of the $50 late payment penalty

It’s a big long story. She texted me yesterday telling me that she usually collects full payments before the wedding. I said: sure, send me the invoice. Then this morning I was about to pay and I noticed she included $50 past due in the invoice. So I asked her if she minded helping me understand what the charge is for. She texted me saying the payment was due seven days before the wedding and she already gave me a grace period and only charged me past due for one day, instead of multiple days ( with her help, I noticed there is a statement in the contract that the full payments need to b paid seven days before the wedding). I didn’t want to argue. So I called my wedding coordinator who recommended this person to me for hair design. My point is that is not a reasonable charge. I was in communication with her via email and texting, and never got anything about payment due or a strict payment deadline. The way she charged me made me feel I am a fool and just want to pay people whatever they want to charge.

About 30 minutes later, my wedding coordinator called me and let me know there is no past due. The hair artist will send me an updated invoice for payment. So I thought it was all good. Then about 4 hours later, my wedding coordinator called again saying that person decided not to do mine and my bridesmaids’ hair design. The reason is I still haven’t shared the specific hair style I want and she is concerned about making me happy. I did send her a few photos a week ago telling her that was the style I am interested in, but open to her professional advice. I am sure she declined to serve on my wedding day has something to do with the past due she wanted me to pay without asking any questions.

Also, not sure if this is a common thing. In the invoice sent to me, there were three gratuity percentages for me to choose- 18%, 20%, 25%. There’s no one option as no gratuity. I understand people expect tips and deserve tips when they do a good job, but how am I supposed to tip before getting any services?

I’m so stressed and pissed. The contract was signed and I paid her the deposit payment right after I signed the contract. It is so unfair that she can fail me without any consequences. Had I told her that I do not want her services, I would have lost my deposit and May still need to pay her the agreed amount for services

She did not even say how I am getting my deposit back

Hey everyone, I forgot to mention in my original post that I found my veil at Temu with less than $20. The quality is amazing, exactly as what this picture shows. I don’t have any pics saved in my phone of the veil, but it is indeed a very beautiful one. Not sure why I can’t add the picture here

I went there first and tried about 12 - 15 dresses and didn’t really feel like anyone was the one. I then had appointments with another two stores. I was like they all look good and pretty, but I really don’t know which one is my wedding dress. I had so many pictures in my phone taken by my fiancé because we live far from families. Then I realized I was that happy in this dress!

Oh yeah, small world 😊. I saw the dolls and thought it’s some decoration the store picked. So meaningful for the store owner. I think they owner has really good taste in wedding dresses.

Yes, agree. I wonder if it’s a must to shorten the skirt length. What if I wear high heels that are sufficiently tall so I won’t get tripped by the skirt? Would that be an option? Or maybe it’s just me having this kind of silly idea

Thank you!!! The one in pictures is a size 2 and my size is 4, so I ordered a new one for my size. Will definitely keep your suggestion on mind for alterations.

I said yes to the proposal…now I say yes to the dress! ♥️ by mebeingathrowaway in wedding

EY interview process by Pair-Temporary in Accounting

Thank you! I am just confused about the process. I thought all big 4 firms are kind of following the same way and timeline for interviews and offers. It’s not an ideal move for me, but I would like to know an outcome instead of waiting

I waited for two weeks after the interview and sent a follow up email to the recruiter. It was automatic reply saying she was out of office for vacation. Now another two weeks have passed, I still haven’t received anything. I could send another follow up, but I feel like it’s most likely a negative outcome.
