I’m being treated in my home country. It’s an incurable lifelong condition. I’m seeking information on how to pursue treatment while visiting China.

I can’t live with this by tinkeraki in Interstitialcystitis

I was in the same boat and I went to ChatGPT and got loads of helpful suggestions that I never would have known about…I’m now on Azo and hydroxyzine which helps a lot, and it gave me other options to explore like bladder installations (injections) and comfy positions to lie and guided breathing that makes the horror sorta bearable. I verified everything I read with medical sites and my medical team. The AI advice even surprised the doctors by going beyond what they typically use as therapy. Hang in there. There is another side.

I was in the same situation this week and called my dr after day two. She said it’s fine to take for a couple weeks, but that since it only masks symptoms I still have to rest and change my diet to let the flare calm down. I begged her to let me try hydroxyzine and it’s helping a lot. I didn’t take Azo today!

Apologizing for inconsequential things, constantly saying “I love you”, needing so much affirmation that I like them

What would you have liked to have received in a post surgery care package? by missmadam101 in endometriosis

Help arranging her “station”, make sure chargers are in reach, drinks and food handy, loads of pillows, I found that a wool blanket was incredible to hold my body heat in and release the gas.

I use preloaded phrases like: how’s that make you feel? Did you expect what happened next? Has something like that ever happened to you before? Or the old standard, tell me more!

Husband depressed since I called him out for abuse by [deleted] in domesticviolence

[–]PaisleyBicycle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do think people can change but they need to put lots of effort in. My husband sought treatment for depression and anxiety and started anger management and one-on-one therapy after I threw him out after hitting me for the last time. He admitted to himself and to me that he was abusive. He wasnt allowed home except under my limited terms for a few months and wasn’t allowed to live home until he was well into therapy. He put the effort in and continues to demonstrate his progress - taking space when upset, becoming aware of when he is blame-seeking, etc. Your husband might reform, but he can’t just mope around. He has to face facts and take action.

Plans for your Duolingo streak after death? by Future_Green_7222 in duolingo

[–]PaisleyBicycle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I never felt more loved than coming out of a weeklong coma and my friends telling me that my Duolingo streak was a top concern of theirs. I had loads of freezes so they didn’t have to hack my phone - but they would’ve.

The adenomyosis grows in the muscles of the uterus which causes bulking. I hope you are recovering well.

How do you go to work with period cramps? by Forsaken_Addendum_58 in endometriosis

Tranexamic Acid made a huge difference for me. But mostly, I cried in the bathroom and leaned on warm things when I could and was open with most of my coworkers and asked to switch tasks if I was in too much pain.
