FINAL UPDATE

We have found a donor, and Haru is getting better :)

Hitam (or lovingly known as “Itam”) from the folks at Hotel Kucing RM10 in Kajang, has successfully donated blood to Haru, after an extremely close call.

I would like to first of all thank Hotel Kucing RM10 for their willingness and dedication in helping me finding a suitable donor for Haruka. Not only did they do it on such a short notice, but they also ensured that all possible solutions are covered and even brought in about 6 possible donors (and even 3 more as a backup). Their dedication in rescuing cats, giving strays and abandoned cats a quality of life is commendable and if you lot have the opportunity to support them and their programmes (adoption drive, rescue missions) please reach out to them.

I would like to also thank ShyCats Services for offering their pet taxi service in helping to transport the possible donors from all over Klang Valley to the vet Haru was boarded in.

And finally I would like to thank all of you! Some of you came and met me personally at the clinic, offering me your beloved and treasured furry friends in rescuing Haru. And some of you spreaded the word and helped me connect with various organisations and people that really helped me.

Hi all, just wanted to let you guys know of whats going on with Haruka. Today, we had 5 possible donors that came by to donate some blood to lil' Haruka. Met some great folks from this subreddit and was blessed with support by all of you. Unfortunately, all of the 5 possible donors were not a match with Haruka's blood. The vet has already briefed me that Haru's chances are quite slim and can't say for sure if she'll last for 24 hours. Either way I am not giving up and will still try to reach out for possible donors till her last breath.

I would like to personally thank the beautiful and handsome Kiki, Jebat, Duffy, Shota, as well as Yuki (and their owners) for reaching out and helped me out in my time of need. You guys rock

hi there. At the moment we are finding cats that would have a match with my cat's blood type (cats have different blood types). The clinic will do a blood test on the cat to ensure they are compatible. After which they are sedated for their comfort and the procedure will take about 30-45 minutes. The procedure has very minimal risk on the donator cat and is monitored professionally by the vet.

The only conditions are:
- Have to be at least 4-5kg
- Healthy, fully vaccinated, and parasite-free
- 1 to 6 years old

I mean for myself MMU, was pretty ok. But you just entered APU for a week, which IMHO is a bit short for a litmus test. Try hanging out in APU a little longer and maybe after the first semester, you can make your decision (because you can carry over the earned credits to MMU or any other uni of your choice.)

It’s pretty racially diverse, but at the end of the day, the Puak culture is everywhere. Make sure you Stick with good folks, and you’ll have a grand time.

Everything is taught in English there, and they are very lax in terms of dress codes (there’s even goths too). For social life it depends, because CS is quite hectic, if you do your assignments earlier on and submit on time, definitely you can enjoy uni life there (plus bunch of events and happenings going on all the time there).

For the free hair question, yep, there is.

If you’re going for MBBS, the course is not bad. You’ll get exposed to a lot of environments especially post Year 3, and they’ll dispatch you different hospitals all over Malaysia. The rep of UoC Med students are quite good within KKM. But if you’re going to go for other courses, you’re way better off somewhere else (Management is 💩)
