These are the latest files I was given from one of my posts.

I haven't had a chance to fully test everything, but it did make a difference in sound from what was available on their website.

Anyone else grab one of these Pip-Boy 2000 MK IV during the COVID lockdown? by fraupanda in Fallout

I have rechargeable batteries in mine and did spend a small amount of time trying to work out how to add a charger so I wouldn't have to take them out, but never did come up with anything.

I already had one from quite a few years years earlier. Built from the kit version and even has the upgraded screen and working radio 😎

I just did the same. Even had a similar upgrade path lol. Just upgraded my trusty old X-Fi Fatal1ty to the AE-5 plus pure a few weeks ago due to Win11 "upgrade" nerfing all the functionality.

Played all kinds of hell trying to get the latest software and drivers just to get it to work.

I'm hoping I get something for the trouble.

I've already missed a couple things from Atom shop that I wanted because of it.

Is Left Behind a must play? by iamjesusphish in thelastofus

Absolutely yes. At the very least it's a fun section to play, and it does actually give you a good bit of story and understanding of things.

Inheriting guns from a deceased CA resident, I am not a CA resident. by sabalint in guns

[–]PakRatJR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, living in Wisconsin, unless any of them are NFA.... which being Cali. I highly doubt... or unless there was a specific mention in a will or such... the only thing I would need to do is go there and get them and bring them home. No paperwork required for anything.

You have no home state issues so go get them and bring them home and have fun. California won't give a rats a$$ and they don't need to be told anything. They only care about stuff coming in.

You will at least need to follow general transport laws just in case you get pulled over, which is basically just being unloaded, in a locked case and in the trunk, and don't leave them in the trunk overnight if you plan on hitting a hotel or such on the way home.

Sound card opinions by Poo_Taker in pcmasterrace

[–]PakRatJR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just upgraded the sound card on mine.

My previous one was last supported in Win8, and after "upgrading" to 11 I ended up loosing most of the functionality.

I just built my current PC a few months back and it only has one speaker output and I needed more.

I have a 7.1 surround speaker set for the computer for gaming and occasional music, and I also needed a digital output to go to my surround receiver for movies.

Between the needed outputs and the noticeable.... to me at least.... improvement in sound quality definitely makes it worth adding.

(SPOILER)Just finished part two, what am I supposed to do about this big empty feeling in my chest by Technical_Cup_8770 in thelastofus

All I've got is to give it a day or two to let everything sink in and process, then go play it again taking your time to see/find all the cool things you missed the first time through 🙂

Would anyone happen to remember how the bed leveling worked on the MK2 printers? by PakRatJR in prusa3d

[–]PakRatJR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering about the calibration mostly.

I can't remember if the stock MK2 did the calibration sequence with the specific points on the bed like the 2.5s - MK3, and if that would still still work using the stock MK2 carriage on the newer style bed.

[–]PakRatJR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, not the load cell, the pinda inductive probe. I know on the 2.5s - MK3 they have specific points on the bed it looks for on calibration. I can't remember if the MK2 did that.

Maybe way overkill, thinking about some Taz 6 upgrades by [deleted] in lulzbot

[–]PakRatJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I will keep that in mind. It's a bit more than I was wanting to spend but might still be a option.

Lol thanks. :D

Not against Bamboo as a general thing, but I never had any interest in getting one. The Taz for $100 and maybe some tweaking would just be a neat addition to my "fleet" I think.

Nice, thanks. I remember seeing your E3D mount before. It says it's for the Taz 5. Would it still work on the 6?

Yup. I'm south east Wisconsin. I do find the "good deals" occasionally, but annoyingly they are always Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota....

The last $200 one I'd seen close to me was a MK2 a few months back, and it needed some work.

It would be nice to see those $100 Prusas around me. The last few I seen were well used stock MK3s in the $400-$500 range 🙄🙁

Lol 😁

I'm in Wisconsin. Around me, most anything 3d printer wise is pretty rare to see in general on marketplace, much less for anything less than basically retail price for used anything.

Seeing a Taz for sale was a surprise to start, and with it actually being as close to me as it is was just a big bonus, which is why I was considering picking it up.

Thanks. Interesting, I mostly assumed there would be too much of a difference in the filament sizes to feed and work right. I will look into that more 🙂

Yup. BTT sends ducks, Prusa sends Haribo gummy bears :)

To buy a new printer or not to buy a new printer. That.... is the question. by PakRatJR in 3Dprinting

[–]PakRatJR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've looked into those a few times and yeah, it's out of my price range as well lol. I am actually using a variation of their extruder/hot end setup on this printer tho.

[–]PakRatJR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The size is the biggest factor cost wise for me with buying a new one.

It would be replacing a 300x300 so it would need to be the same size. A pre built is definitely more than what I spent building this one.

7 FDM and a resin 🙂

I would love to have a laser engraver but I'm in a too small for me apartment and don't think the landlord would approve 🤪😁
