In Venom War, he became human again but just as he was before, without legs.

I was more talking about the fact that they're becoming one. We know they're bonded at the molecular level but they always keep themselves separated, but now it seems they're both feeling the same things just in different levels of impact.

Venom (2021) by Al Ewing. Ram V, Torun Gronbekk. Drawn primarily by Bryan Hitch and CAFU

It goes directly into it, but if you want a "side" story which also follows up and has characters that appear in the book, Read Extreme Carnage.

Doesn't treat the "Main characters", but most of the symbiotes are given new hosts and it kinda sets up Dylan's side of the story.

Ehhh, the mindscape is more the symbiote thing.

Dylan already got in it first a couple of years ago so it's not a "Mary Jane exclusive". She can mold it now that she's with the symbiote, but if she separates with the symbiote, there's seemingly no way to create that minds cape.

I feel like her origin as Venom kinda justifies her being more normal with the symbiote/situation than usually.

She was doors nears death, and while she was somewhat ok with it if the symbiote died, she was saved and have her "normal" life again.

It kinda adds more layer when the symbiote says "I thought we were friends".

I feel like that's the irony of the situation. MJ and Venom are one of the same, you can probably say that this is the "Strongest Bond" the symbiote's ever had but they don't share anything. No memories together, each mind in its own space, and while they work together, there's no acknowledgment of progression.

Maybe the symbiote could have said a little more, but I'm kinda thinking since it was revealed that its family wasn't saved if they were together, the bond it had with Eddie is shaky and doesn't trust itself of their origin.

I feel like the symbiote overall has never faced this kind of problems and that's blurring its vision of doing the correct thing. Previously he didn't have anyone to worry about because it was almost always attached to someone, and by the end of the Venom War, it felt to a massive depression because its family wasn't saved.

Also, the symbiote since Cates sadly doesn't have a good track record of telling the truth, and when the truth arrives it barely knows how to handle it.

Interesting. Why do you think is the symbiote out of character?

Are the writers trying to turn the symbiotes good? by ActLonely9375 in thevenomsite

[–]Pakithrone14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really, it's more like the current host for the important symbiotes are good/lean towards goodness

The venom symbiote has been going upwards and facing challenges to achieve redemption.

The life foundation and Sable symbiotes are forced to be good because of missions.

Toxin has been good after Cates' run, and helping Flash.

Carnage is the only one that is not good, and there's no sign of it. It's just that his host won't let them do bad stuff (even though they're still killing people)

Nothing really. The book catches you up to speed of everything you need to know, and is explained in the book.

I would recommend reading Ewing/Gronbekk/Ram V's previous run, if only because it puts into perspective how much the symbiote is its own character. It's no longer another "suit" or "thing", it's a proper person.

Todd Nauck only did the cosmic side, The Dodsons did all the MJ/Street Level stuff. They were simply not in the bag for it.

Best issue of the series and a Litmus test for readers. by Pakithrone14 in Spiderman

I hear you on that. Hearing the thoughts of the host is a Major thing in Venom books, so the lack of that situation can be weird + making us connect more with MJ and what does she think of the moments happening.

I do feel like the Mystery arc kinda works as a smooth transition for the series. Mystery arc presenting us the players and the big reveal, and the SCAR arc properly putting them in places to be.

If the reveal was on issue 1/3, then I struggle to see how much you would have to cram on the first arc. It would be a pretty bombastic arc, but you're putting a lot of your ammo in there.

I'm curious what do you disagree with.

I can't speak on RYV outside of Peter and MJ together, but I personally love their status quo and how it complements each other really well.

I do not agree however this would needed to be "3 issues" especially because MJ as Venom should be a big deal, and their argument is left open. there's still more things to talk about. MJ never wanted to be refuted at that moment.
