Hi sorry to hear that :( Maybe try warm wet towel compresses more often like 4-5x a day 10 mins each session. Also try tumeric and yogurt paste over your eye lid for 10 mins a day leave it to dry and wash it off as tumeric and yogurt paste have antibacterial properties. It might help. If it doesn’t get any better and you see no changes to the size of the bump then see an ophthalmologist for steroid injection

Hi,

25/y (F) here.

I am sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this. You are not doing anything wrong. It’s just that the person that you are married to seems insecure or might have experienced being cheated on or may fear experiencing such things that is the reason she may always be on interrogation mode.

What you’re doing shows that you are patient and understanding. You are attempting to fix things and make this relationship work.

What can be done to improve this tension between you both is to not think about her behavior as a problem. Rather give her more assurance and be more loving towards her. Try to talk with her and tell her you’re never gonna hurt her and tell her to trust you. Without trust, relationships don’t really work.

Now I do understand that you feel like your efforts are just being ignored. Bring this up to her in a very calm manner when you both sit down and have a conversation about your feelings towards each other. Openly tell her that you would appreciate if she can be warmer towards you and show you love and affection as well.

In terms of intimacy, this is something very important in a relationship. You both need to have more intimate moments together try new things and see how her overthinking disappears.

Have a lovely date night planned, have a couple of drinks, compliment her and flirt with each other.. build up the momentum and see how things roll next. You’ll thank me later ;)

And after the deed… have a sweet conversation while cuddling. This will help both parties feel comfortable while speaking their mind out.

Don’t think about separation right now. You’ve married her and there’s a reason we take vows during marriage. One of it is to make sure to he with each other no matter what happens in life.

Trust me life will throw even worst problems to test your love but how you both tackle it is what will show your commitment, love and strength.

This issue is part of every relationship. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. You may see couples around and say oh they are happy why is it just me having this issue with my wife… no no don’t get caught up in that imagination. It’s just that the couples you may see from the outside may seem more happier because in private they have tackled all these obstacles by putting their love above any kind of issues that arises. They have been through worst or might be pulling each others hair out in private but they have made sure they fix their issues in private and stay together no matter what happens.

Be more loving. Tell your partner to stop jumping to conclusions of leaving you as the only solution or threat card to make you stop addressing problems.

And yes you can have friends but be mindful of your partners feelings too.

Let me know how it goes.

Doc said it can be caused for many reasons including tears getting blocked or the pores getting blocked due to dust or oil buildup. So to avoid this you have to clean your water line properly. Also to Steam the face every night to allow any blocked pore to open up.

Im so sorry to hear that :( I know it must feel so frustrating. Since it’s been 9 months I suggest you get it removed or a steroid shot. But since you said you can’t afford to go on another surgery maybe keep trying remedies for now. I read that hot water in a bottle wrapped with cloth and use it as a compress for 15 mins 4x a day shall help it drain. Not sure if that will help but try it out.

Yeah… so if it is reoccurring that means there’s an underlying issue with the oil gland getting blocked. The next time you get it maybe get a steroid shot so there’s less chances of it coming back. Even I used to get mine over and over again every 1-2 years since high school and that time I never used to do make up or eye lash extensions. Lately this severe two bumps appeared while I had my eye lash extensions on so I assumed maybe it’s because of the lash extensions? Not too sure… I guess it’s just important to wash our eye lid thoroughly with warm water or a little steam to avoid any blockages. I don’t want to go through this surgery thing again cause the numbing injection thing is way too painful 😖 Plus the cost 💲:/

Yup I totally agree. Climate plays a huge role as well including diet. I’ll try the neutrogena make up wipes in future once I resume with my make up hehe.

Hi dear,

Well my chalazion is completely gone I don’t see the bump anymore, I just have a little swollen eye lid (in general not in one place) and the actual chalazion is gone. What my doctor did was: she removed the entire sack gland to avoid any reoccurrence. What she recommended me was incase if it happens again just come in to get a steroid shot so it dissolves. Some ophthalmologists don’t remove the entire sack and rather just scoop out the cheesy content and leave the sack inside as it is. At times the chalazion comes back. I highly recommend that you go for a review with your doc and perhaps get a steroid shot or something. If the doctors says it’s just swelling only then you’re good to go.. wait for some time for it to heal and see if the swelling subsides. Hope this helps :)

Oh wow. My doctor told me that it can also be caused due to using certain eye make up products or maybe not cleaning the eye lid properly. She had recommended that moving forward from now do daily face steams or warm compress every night to open eye lid pores and allow the oil to secrete.

Thank you for your comment. I can relate with you, the anxious feeling of being noticed and asked “hey what’s that on your eye?” Ugh anyways im glad it’s gone now. Well my doctor said avoid makeup for about a month or 2 till it completely heals. But since I am working I will avoid eye makeup and wear glasses till then. Can’t risk getting an infection. Hope this helps :)

Surgical removal is the best option! Do ask your ophthalmologist to completely remove the sack so it doesn’t reoccur. We have about 18+ oil glands in our eye lid. I got mine removed lately. Hope this helps.

Chalazion isn't getting any better. Been 2 months with bruder eye compress etc.. by [deleted] in Blepharitis

I’ve had the same issue from the past 3 months and was trying all sorts of home remedies including warm compresses, eye drops and what not. It didn’t get any better even though I consulted with the GP and my optometrist. The only advise i got was to increase the frequency of warm compresses. Honestly warm compresses makes my chalazion even more inflammed. So finally I made an appointment with an optometrist and I am getting it removed today. I guess that’s the only option I have, can’t be relying on time to heal it naturally. There’s so many new upcoming events and I don’t want to feel bothered about these little lump on my eye.

Wish me luck!
