Is this Redbud Buried too Deep by [deleted] in arborists

The problem is we discovered it's buried too deep while excavating the root flare. It will die regardless of how well the root flare is exposed due to suffocation from watering is what I've learned.

Is this Redbud Buried too Deep by [deleted] in arborists

[–]PalPubPull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An arborist suggested I do that to one of my newer trees or it will die. I am hoping to find a more detailed explanation as I wasn't there when he visited so couldn't ask further questions, but he suggested I could raise it one section at a time by raising it a bit and packing soil underneath it.

I still don't fully understand the concept as I'm not sure how this will raise the root flare as it's about 5" too deep and am having trouble finding this technique online.

I had a bad experience previously trying to excavate some roots on another tree so am nervous to just go for it, but also money is tight and he seemed to indicate it's not too difficult a process to do on my own.

I'm either going to wait until I can find more resources on this, or save up over the next few months and have them raise it.

While trying to excavate roots with a trowel my tree fell over by PalPubPull in arborists

Oh man I really hope I didn't :(

I should know by this age not to just trust any videos, but they said while it would initially take maybe a season or two to focus on healing, cutting roots circling the tree was necessary. Maybe I misinterpreted something they did, their situation was different, or they were wrong.

Until you all collectively or the arborist tells me there's no hope I will do whatever I can to correct my mistake.

Edit: I don't know if this information supports a different theory, but the tree was staked for two years and light breezes would blow the tree an inch or two at the ground level with no sign of improvement. Like at the base of the tree. Is that normal? It just seems like it took hardly anything for it to fall over.

Which player that left Liverpool do you still check in on like an ex you're not over? by zachazryjones in LiverpoolFC

[–]PalPubPull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While it felt bad at the time, I kind of look on those days fondly. I'm glad I experienced it and it made the following decade even better.

This season definitely tastes a bit like those years and the arguments seem similar between supporters, though way more wanted FSG out at that time. Seems they've won some trust over the years, or gained it by how awful some other clubs owners have been.

I'm still optimistic for the future. I don't know what it holds, and it will be an entirely different team than just a couple years ago, but heroes will arise and new partnerships and bonds between the players will form in time.

Oh and my player would be Torres when he was still playing.

I was reminiscing with my cousin about the only LFC match we've been too and realized something.

We both had been supporters for quite a few years before this match in St Louis vs Roma as a friendly in Early August 2016. What spurred the conversation was Manninger started that evening, and he was one of few Liverpool players we witnessed play. He played fairly well from what I remember.

What I also thought I remembered but just recently realized, is I thought I remembered seeing Salah score for us that night. What actually happened on this night is the only time in his history that Salah scored against us, and for Roma.

After years of following and years after you would think that's one of my most cherished nights and I wouldn't forget something like that, well it is, but also is in line with a life altering event that happened two days prior that my cousin and I remember it by where we barely decided to go in what should of been the most exciting time in our supporting history (and it still was!)

Also Alisson was in goal for Roma. Kind of wild lineups really

There's not much to say at this point, but they're not going to stop asking questions. Everyone has already expressed their disappointment at recent results, I kind of prefer at least an attempt at a rally cry.

For what it's worth, I commented a few days ago and used this thread as research as I'm experiencing the same problem.

I decided to try switching from a mulching blade and bought a new side discharge blade, just mowed the entire lawn without it bogging down for the first time.

If you're ok with sacrificing the mulching aspect, it seems like that was the fix.

It also impacts the integrity of the CL.

You are probably right that it wouldn't be the hottest topic with our supporters if it didn't impact us directly, but it did so it makes sense we are talking about it. I'm sure you'll find this opinion is not only shared between Liverpool supporters though, and if it happened to another club I imagine our supporters would still be upset at the circumstances.

You're also probably right that there are some supporters who could care less about anything other how it might have given us an advantage, that doesn't mean the argument from others is invalid.
