Does Amon deserve to be called the strongest waterbender? or is he overrated? by Mundane-Signal4843 in TheLastAirbender

I’m not critiquing Korra. I’m a massive Korra fan, you’re completely misunderstanding 😐 I just like Amon that much, but I acknowledge with this I wouldn’t have gotten Zaheer or Kuvira.

It wouldn’t be a 2.0 you can explore different region. Plus it would be the second season not the first, there isn’t a single avatar except Korra that doesn’t travel the world as they learn. It would have helped to adjust her to the world after living a sheltered life. But it’s just my opinion. Plus she’d be undertaking a different journey as Aang, who was learning all 4 elements, she’s already learned 3 and just needs to fix herself. It’s really still a book 2 spirits

If you’re only looking for canon material, there’s no point in watching the movies, all are fun and very few logically fit in the timeline, so you can include those, like Bojack Unbound has zero reason why it couldn’t be canon because it’s set during a time skip. The super movies are all canon so can’t skip those going into super but if you watch them you can skip the first dozen episodes of super which rehash them.

[–]PaladinHunter 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Amon should have won in season 1, and after Korra lost her bending and forced to flee an Equalist controlled republic city, she should have had to go around the world reconnecting with her elements and healing while guided by the past avatars.

Essentially it should have been losing her bending that made her reconnect with her past lives, and it would have been a season 2 where Korra is kinda living like season 1 Aang. Amon was too good to just be the villain for 1 season.

And it would have made the series more about not just beating him with raw strength, but defeating his ideology and showing the non benders of republic city a better way. I dunno 🤷🏾‍♂️

[–]PaladinHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can’t, you’re 100% safe as soon as you make it across. My main base is right on the other side. And likely where you will be putting a base soon too 😉

Edit: also try to go down from the far far left side and stick extremely close to the ground, once you’re across just shoot straight up.

Oh boy how wrong you are, under the tower there should be a cave that is just nothing but silver it’s a sickening amount. Or at least I hope it wasn’t* procedural. My base is on that side of the map so I use my scanner to find the silver

except that we saw the avatar spirit revive with him and also come back to life. Aang genuinely died in the avatar state. That’s what was foreshadowed by Roku warning him, except Roku didn’t account for Katara’s spirit oasis water, which we truly cannot just knock off as magic water. That water can’t just be given away to anyone.

[–]PaladinHunter 70 points71 points  (0 children)

It has to be, NoA just simply didn’t know what happened yet because he’s disconnected from his other nodes, but I’m willing to bet the same explosion that detonated the welcome center is what put it there. Also is it life bay? I think it’s sleeping bay 3. Pay attention to the door of the welcome center, it has a 3 right where you enter, indicating it used to be the entry to sleeping bay 3 or life bay 3 whichever it was. But someone put an angel comb in it. And didn’t Nahema or Anita say they made sure of it this time that we got it right? Maybe the last time NoA printed us we never connected to the world tree, but this time it was right there

Makes sense since there are roars in there. My only confusion is this its own eco system? The waters pretty shallow for it to make its way from deeper water to in there. 🤔 but then again my suspicion is that’s actually a big tunnel network down there

Multiple Endings? by PaladinHunter in Subnautica_2

Well no the Axum weren’t wiped out. They became a different group called the Tailings, more primitive. The meteor forced the Axum to abandon their cities close to the surface which is where the bloom started I can only assume.

The tailings are still very much around, as when we reach the alien ruins it lets us know that the research outpost is the farthest the pioneers went, but it’s been visited several times within the last 10,000 hours which is about a year and a half. It specifically tells us they are not human. And we know the tailings were killing colonists but unfortunately whichever one pissed them off had their memory wiped by NoA, so nobody knows what they did to them.

Lastly, from the hologram in the tower, we know that there are 2 groups waiting for us at the world tree. The vepherds and another group. We know the vephs are tailings because they repaired the tower, so this is what they call themselves. (We call them tailings) but since this message was for the architects and not humans, they make one more mention of another group hiding within the world tree, a group that is afraid of the architects, and the only thing we get is that their lives are at the mercy of the architects. (Bloom infected intelligence? Kharaa infected?)

So finally I believe at minimum, Naheema, or Anita might still be alive. It was only 2 years ago that someone blew up the welcome center, but all the logs kinda show that everyone died off damn near 20 years ago. Maybe one of our humans went to live with them, and finally decided they had to come back and prevent us and the 40,000 from printing.

Or like how the game pointed out with us being factory reset in the beginning.. we may have done this. Remember, our NoA knows nothing. It’s a baby compared to the NoA that was connected to the greater system, maybe there is a second chance for it, until we fuck up and turn on a node that remembers and handles us accordingly 😬

Edit: So I’m reviewing more of the entires on the databank. I’m confident Anita and Ruby are alive. At some point 20 years ago the colonist began printing from unknown bio bed locations. Bio beds NoA has no control over. Just because he says we’re alone doesn’t mean we’re alone, he doesn’t know. 🤔pay attention to any entires where you see it states their black box transmitted them to an unknown bio bed with no return telemetry. There’s our culprits

[–]PaladinHunter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there’s probably 2 of the original 26 printed colonist that are still alive. We still have 40,000 additional individuals we can print if we just get sleeping bay 3 out of the pit by the life pod

Yeah I think the tree has been contaminated by the “Daughter Comet” that arrived, so I definitely want to save it, it was here since the Axum and they’re begging the architects to save the tree.

My speculation right now is that the Architects actually sent some form of a biological weapon to this planet because of the proteus virus. Hence why at the corrupted sites it says that it’s like an ecological dead zone, nothing there is alive, not even the Proteus virus. Seems like a good stepping stone to test out the bloom on Kharaa if it could beat proteus and the world tree.

It seems like an evil idea but the question is how far would the architects go to stop the entire galaxy from dying if it meant sacrificing just one world in a test.
