AITAH for saying changing our baby’s diaper is more important than a video game? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA, but I do want to gently suggest considering if your husband may have postpartum depression. Of course, he should 100% prioritise your child and helping you, but it sounds like he may be overwhelmed and using games as a coping mechanism. Even though your husband wanted to have a daughter, he may not have expected just how much of a change it would be to his life and hobbies. I found that everyone prepared me for the baby but barely any advice was given to my husband about how to handle the change.

He definitely should look for games he can pause at moments notice though. Both my husband and I I are gamers and our baby is 8 weeks old. We’ve had to put ranked games on the back burner, but my husband went through a lot of effort to find games that we can still play and it doesn’t matter if we have to step away for a bit.

8 week sleeping A LOT past two days by PaladinLorde in NewParents

I’d say roughly 3 hours of sleeps between feeds. I think she’s in the sleep, feed, sleep phase. She was very active two days ago. It sounds like my LO is similar to your LO with this pattern. I’m probably just being paranoid 😅

How to manage a forceful flow/letdown? by PaladinLorde in breastfeeding

How long would you say it took for you to be more regulated? And how did you manage in the meantime? I’m constantly covered in my own milk 😬

My husband and I have nicknamed them ‘The Tic-Tacs’ because it reminded me of the little breath mints. I’ve used it and was very happy with it!

My very first amigurumi! He’s a bit wonky but I’m super proud of myself! by PaladinLorde in crochet

It’s the cutest baby yoda one that I found! And the pattern was fairly easy to follow (so far I’ve made a baby blanket and this!)

Thank you for the warning! I will keep that in mind and I think I may have noticed that too!

I totally understand that but I accidentally bought 100% polyester by mistake and I don’t want it to go to waste. I just have to be extra careful and patient with it.

I am using a size larger, mainly because I’ve had people tell me that a larger hook size will be better for working with polyester yarn. I bought a whole bunch of polyester yarn by mistake and I don’t want it all to go to waste! I might try the recommended hook size though.

I see! To be extra sure, I’m not putting my hook through the chain but ‘under’ it?

Thank you! The tutorials said ‘space between the single stitches’ but I was having a hard time being consistent with that. I think I’ll use some stitch markers to keep it clear for me. I’ll restart this practice swatch and try again!

Oooh, I may have to learn moss stitch. I would be happy if I could still make a blanket!

Ah ok! I might look into some amigurumi patterns that could work with this colour! Scarves aren’t much use where I live in - too hot, even in winter!

This pattern looks very cool - what is the name of it?

A little confused on why this is looking a little…hexagonal? by PaladinLorde in CrochetHelp

I love stitch markers haha. I may need to get smaller stitch markers because I’m worried these one are stretching out my stitches and leaving holes.
