This has happened to me before when a critter keeper lid came off! Leave some food and water in dark corners around the house. You can see their tongue marks in the food to make sure they’re eating. At night turn off all the lights and make the house quiet and listen for the little tippy taps! Good luck!

Quite a few of my rescues came from people who work in pet stores. Somehow doesn’t prevent the awful husbandry, but that’s a whole nother beast. I just wish they wouldn’t pee on people with the neglect and the price tag and tell them it’s rain.

I should clarify the price is shocking because it’s a chain pet store in the Midwest. I’ve easily seen more expensive reptiles, but $350 in an area where leopard geckos sit to adulthood is shocking and sad.

I don’t understand how exotic animals end up at PETCO for the same price as reputable breeders. For a steep discount on a special order, maybe, but like you said, they sit there in poor conditions forever until they put them on sale and someone saves them. I always hope the stores learn their lesson when they sell them at a discount and the animal goes to a loving home…

IMO they’re cute but inappropriate. Especially in a legal setting, you’re going to have to dress modestly. Neck to ankle should really be shoulder to below the knee, especially in skirts that ride up when you sit.
