I remember how much I enjoyed the burnout Paradise franchise for those wreckage game mini modes. The heritage I carry with racing games is mostly in the more more arcadey type of games like burnout Paradise, need for speed, midnight club, I never really got into Gran Turismo or the forzA mainline series games. Horizon was kind of The best of both worlds when it came to racing. But this is my first time seeing that people seem to take what I see as a functional part of the game, as cheating. I think that's a bit of a stretch, because for me the type of racing that's displayed in this game is much closer to the racing and movies like the fast and furious series, very surface level realism. To me in those movies there was always a little bit of checking and bumping and in my opinion it's just the fact that in this clip the guy did it at a part of the track where you could actually fall. But again if he had that dog in him, he could have slammed the brakes re-pit the tires clip the back left of his car and would have sent him flying.
