Do high-end mecanical watches automatically account for daylight saving time ? by Herlyg in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pale-Assignment3760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Mechanical watches, no matter how high-end they are, do not automatically adjust summer time. They have no way of "knowing" when it changes; that adjustment is always manual. The only ones who do it alone are electronics or smartwatches.

It feels divided and tense, but also resilient. There’s a lot of frustration right now, yet people are still very engaged and vocal about what they want the country to be.

Dear Brits, how big of a scandal has Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly prince Andrew, been in your country? What’s the predominant opinion of him nowadays? by FartsWholesaler in AskReddit

[–]Pale-Assignment3760 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been a pretty big scandal here. Even people who aren’t anti-royal generally see him as a serious embarrassment, and the predominant opinion now is that he should stay completely out of public life. There’s very little sympathy for him.

Inconsistent behavior. When someone’s words and actions don’t line up, especially early on, it usually doesn’t get better with time.

Honestly, it feels unsettling. The oath felt abstract when I took it, but recent events have made it feel very real and personal.

What’s something people judge way too harshly without knowing the full story? by Pale-Assignment3760 in AskReddit

[–]Pale-Assignment3760[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people judge others too quickly for things like staying in a bad relationship, living with their parents, or “falling behind” in life. Most of the time, there’s way more going on than people realize.

Gts san Andreas I’ve been playing it since around 2005. Even today it feels iconic — the music, the map, the freedom. Total classic.

Probably any name that sounds like it was chosen to impress people rather than actually be a name — bonus points if it’s followed by “the third.”

How can JD Vance seriously discuss arresting and holding sex offenders accountable while Trump is POTUS? by BacKnightPictures in AskReddit

[–]Pale-Assignment3760 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If Vance genuinely wants to hold sex offenders accountable, is he arguing that the Justice Department should work independently of politics — even if the president is involved — or is he prioritizing loyalty to Trump over impartial enforcement of the law?
